3D printed bust of the King of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington. I finished this one several months ago, but waited till Fall to upload it. I used a combination of acrylic paints, inks, and homemade washes. All of the dark colors are actually inks. His suit is dark blue with a blue wash over the white shirt as well to make the piece pop. If I’d just used white and black paint it would have come out flatter than a pancake. LOL If you’ve ever tried to paint something tiny and delicate, like the black details around the teeth and nose, try using inks. Dropping them in and letting them do all the work to flow around the parts worked really well, and the eyes...that is just a cotton swab dipped in black ink and swirled in the socket. No cleanup around the edges needed.
