Yeah, yeah yeah. Hold the fuck up. We gone take this little intermission to listen to what the fuck I gotta say - I'm stunned . It needs to be acknowledged that Prodigy was an excellent artist and his lyricism knew no bounds. Sure, he set a template that many would use but he also ventured into territory that others were afraid to tread. P wrote some of the most universally loved, gritty street anthems ever. The vivid imagery, his use of language and humor ..... He was anything but typical. While his graphic street narratives have already left an indelible impression on the world of music it should also be noted that he could also display his own vulnerabilities and insight. P was a thinker. He took risks on that mic and he never underestimated his audience. He wasn't afraid to try different styles or introduce philosophical and social perspectives that were uncommon or unpopular. The way this brother used his imagination and his intellect combined with his own experiences made for a lot of exhilarating, provocative music (and literature). "Shook ones" at the "Pearly Gates" beware cuz a truly "thoro" one is coming through. Rest In Power Prodigy. #ripprodigymobbdeep #ripprodigy #mobbdeep #infamous #kingp
