Kingsbarns wins the Stephen Foster Stakes

“Happy retirement to KINGSBARNS. An impressive winner of the GI Stephen Foster Stakes at Churchill in June, the son of Uncle Mo exited a recent workout with an injury and has been retired from racing.

With six wins from nine starts, including victories in last year's Gll Louisiana Derby and this year's GIll Ben Ali Stakes, the 4-year-old retires with $1,559,060 in career earnings

"He was a pleasure to trainer and will definitely be missed around the barn," said trainer Todd Pletcher.

Owned by Spendthrift farm, Kingsbarns will begin his stud career there in 2025. The farm has not, as of yet, named a fee.

It’s Kentucky Derby portrait time yet again!

For 2023 I decided to stick with acrylic paints, but mixed things up a little by adding some background color blocks. I got started a little late this year (and I’m in the middle of moving) so hopefully I mange to finish.

Kingsbarns Whisky Balcomie

Region : Lowlands 46 % alc./vol. 0,7l nicht kühlfiltriert kein Farbstoff Fassart : Ex-Oloroso American Oak Sherry Butts Nase : Süß und fruchtig, mit Melasse, Fruchtstollen, Sultaninen, Zimt, dunkler Schokolade und roten Beeren Geschmack : Anfangs süße Dosenananas, dann kommen frische Orangenschale und Gewürze wie Zimt und Muskat hinzu Finish : Lang und weich, mit Trokenaprikosen und ein wenig Haselnuss Distilled : 2015 Bottled: 2020

Beim Kingsbarns Balcomie handelt es sich um die zweite Core Range Abfüllung der noch jungen Lowland Destillerie.  Komplett gereift in Oloroso Sherry Butts, stellt dieser Whisky den perfekten Partner zum Erstling der Brennerei, dem Kingsbarns Dream to Dram dar. Benannt wurde Balcomie nach einem Golfplatz in der näheren Umgebung der Brennerei.
