okee, let’s see what i can share!

genovia au dates  

this literally started w/ me trying to figure out the timeline based on the actual movies. then because my brain is my brain, it evolved them going in different dates throughout the timeline (first two posted stories) and beyond (all that’s planned oh god). all but not limited to are the following date ideas: 

joe taking nicky out on a date when they first go to joe’s home kingdom

joe and nicky having dinner with nasima (yusuf’s sister) for the first time

double date with mama and baba

double date with mia and nicholas

double date with clarisse and joseph

a san francisco date, when they go with mia to visit her mom - also includes elio and ayla meeting their uncle/cousin trevor

this is being written for my friend my muse @kingyusuf. i asked them for a prompt and she gave me this from this list: 

“i still have your sister’s scarf and i know it’s stupid but i’ve been hoping maybe one day you’ll come by and pick it up so we’ll be forced to talk again because i haven’t seen you in months and i’m maybe kinda sorta still in love with you” AU

so yes, a post-break up joe x nicky hurt/comfort that includes nicky and nile as roommates, nile being the most amazing friend ever, good intentions with ill results, yearning, yearning, yearning, pain and what i hope is an eventual happy ending because i am going for hurt/comfort and not angst

“Forever more, my darling,” Joe chokes out, and it takes on a whole new meaning that makes his own ache.

“Then my heart will heal,” Nicolo says, and his voice is firm, and fierce, under the exhaustion. “The symptoms will fade, in time. They will,” he adds, his voice muffled against his shoulder. He pulls away and looks up at Joe with wide, glassy eyes.

“The universe won’t be so cruel to me to take me away now, when I am finally happy, right?” he says, and Joe burst into tears then, shaking his head, grabbing Nicolo’s face and kissing him, deeply. No. No. He won’t think of it. He won’t think of losing Nicolo. Not again. Not like this.

or the sequel to this Princess Diaries AU where Prince Yusuf learns the physical extents of Nicolo’s heartbreak, months after they were meant to be fine. But regardless of how much it ails him, his beloved Nicolo continues to have faith that he will be alright. So he must brave through his fears and his worries, as they grow, and build a life and a family, together. Even if it breaks their hearts again. And again. And again.

They have children now! And engaged! And they are so, so happy.

I will expanding more to these stories, and I cannot wait to share more. I've yet to make this into a series, but once the next ones come through, I will compile them altogether.

Please know that their children, twins Ayla and Elio, were named per suggestion from kit! They were also pretty instrumental in me having to flesh them out as original characters, so I give her all of that thanks and more! Thank you for our blessings, kit!

“Prince Yusuf Al-Kaysani,” Charlotte says, and she’s sighing dreamily again and Yusuf definitely has that effect on people.

“That young man gets my vote,” Joseph says from behind him. “He goes by Joe sometimes, so he’s definitely of good stock,” he says, and Nicky snorts. “A brilliant one, amazing artist, charismatic. He’s dedicated himself as the right-hand and advisor to his queen mother, and has fully supported his younger sister taking the throne instead of him. He’s friends with Nicolo,” he says, and Nicky blinks, shrugging a little, and his heart starts to go wild in his chest in a way he doesn’t want to understand.

“We spent two years of secondary together,” he whispers, glancing at Mia. “Uh…just before they passed, he had to move back home, and I…” he trails off, sighing.

or the Princess Diaries II AU where Prince Nicolo will do anything for Genovia. And if that means introducing his cousin Princess Mia to Prince Yusuf Al-Kaysani to be her future king, then his heart just has to deal with it. He just wished that it didn’t hurt so much.
