oh, my carrd is kind of outdated (I need to remember to delete all links to it, oops) as I reorganized my list and use my strawpage instead. Wrio currently is not on my active f/o list, it's all good.
Which doesn't really matter bc as you will see, I recently made the decision to stop asking doubles not to follow.
That's because
1. not everyone will read or respect it and follow anyway. (I have complained about this a lot in the past and it frustrated me a little bit too much)
2. a follow doesn't really harm me. The thing that had always made me uncomfortable the most is people reblogging posts about my f/os (not my own posts but f/o centered reblogs by me) from me and leaving tags like #my love #they love me so much #[referencing their own or their friends selfship with said f/o ] #theyre so hot I love them, .... etc And even people reblogging from me and @ing their friend with "look at your man!!" --- yadda yadda, you get the gist. (This is a tumblr only problem I have and I am more active on bluesky.) But this is the exact kind of people who will not read or respect a byf/dnf and they will always exist and I will further get frustrated if I demand it. (which gets us back to point 1)
3. if someones interactions with me/my blog makes me uncomfortable like this, I can and will simply block them.
4. if someone follows me, I don't have to follow them back. If seeing one of their selfships on my dash would make me uncomfortable, I will not follow, that's it.
I reflected; this is the internet and it has always been your own responsibility to curate your experience here, so that's what I'm doing. In general, I have been kind of getting frustrated by DNIs and what they stand for nowadays but that's a whole different can of worms.
