Michiru dropped a wreath of roses and glitter over the other sailor. She looked down at Makoto from atop the staircase, and smiled. "Happy New Years Eve, Makoto."

Its not often that he finds himself inside a store quite as nice as this one, but Mitsuru was the one that insisted on getting him something nice for Christmas. However it was quickly apparent that she knew little when it came to what was good kitchen equipment and what wasn't. Instead she simply handed him off some money and sent him on his way. 

It wasn't that he didn't appreciate the gesture, but as far as he was concerned the equipment they had on hand was suitable enough. However Shinji knew far too well that once she got that look in her eye there was no use fighting it, and so he found himself inside a small culinary store, with quite a few odd glances being tossed his way. He couldn't blame them, judging him by the clothes he wore and the scowl pasted on his face. It still pissed him off though. 

Its when he reaches out to take a pan from the shelf that his hand bumps into that of another. A small groan of annoyance leaves him as he quickly pulls the pan from the shelf. "Watch it." He growls, without even bothering to look at whoever it was that he'd bumped into. It wasn't like the person would have anything nice to say to him. No one other than a very small group ever did.
