Hey,

it’s been a while since I last posted here. Truth is, I kinda miss tumblr. I miss the chill place, the custom themes, the fact that posts had a lifespan longer than 1.2 seconds… (looking at you, twitter).

So that’s my announcement that I’m going to try to become more active here.

I don’t have much to post since I don’t have time or energy for personal art when I work fulltime, but I still have some stuff to show you :>

So out of curiosity, how many of the MAPs for the Mountain Sound thing are in? I've been on and off following the project and it seems like it's hit a bit of a standstill.

Hi! As of now 17 parts out of 26 have been submitted. I’m sorry for all the delays. My personal life got in the way, and the fact that I also hosted a GF fanzine didn’t help. Right now, I have irl priorities that don’t let me any time to run after the participants and get them to finish their part. 

But the MAP is in no way cancelled. I plan to actively speed up the process after I’m done with my exams in May. I’ll get in touch with everyone who hasn’t submitted their part yet, and replace those who drop out. I’m also thinking of a way to extend the video so I can include the last episode in it. 

(That being said, if you are an artist in my MAP and want to drop out, it’s perfectly fine! Just message me privately and I’ll find a backup. I’m aware that MAPs are something you do in your free time, and it’s okay to have more important priorities :>  Here’s a tip from my experience: MAPs are supposed to be a fun hobby. So if you find yourself dreading to finish your part, it's probably a sign that you’ll feel better if you leave your part. I know this feeling. I too dropped from MAPs before. That’s what backups are for, don’t worry!)

So right now, I’m in the middle of school/job applications (whoever accepts me first), and this has priority over MAPs. However I DO intend to finish what I’ve started, no matter how much time it’ll take.

PS: Please don’t message individual artists about finishing their part! It’s the host’s job. And in my experience, if you do so it has more chance of discouraging them than anything.

(btw I’m sorry for the lack of art lately, I’ve just graduated and immediately had to say goodbye to friends and move out, with all the emotional breakdown that goes with it. So I’m taking a little break to visit my family and spend all my savings at a con in Paris. But I’ll be back next week for sure, with new art and maybe some streams? I haven’t streamed in a very long time and I kinda miss it :> )

I’ve just come back from my film presentation oral and everything went surprisingly well? Like the professional jury was so kind and supportive and all. Now I’m feeling really emotional, realizing that a part of my life has just ended and I’ll have to move on.

Thank you everyone for all your nice words, it really cheers me up! I don’t feel ready to put my film on the internet yet, just give me some time to rest a bit and pull myself together :>
