When I first came to the UK I never really understood afternoon tea. Taken 18 years and I’m finally a convert. This afternoon tea from the @nobuhotelshoreditch really hits my sweet spot. Choice of matcha drinks, teas and kinto coffee to start. Moving on to a chic Anglo Japanese affair of pastry and sandwich fitting perfectly in the surrounds of the Nobu Hotel. The menu highlights chicken karage, anticucho den miso and pickled cucumber on sourdough, matcha choux buns and yuzu and kumquat pound cake. A splendid leisurely afternoon of cake and tea makes for a great day dontcha think?
