I debuted at my first convention today as an artist vendor at Kin-Yoobi Con! It was a fun experience and I made many new friends and reconnected with friends.

I’m excited to vend at more conventions! Next task for me in my art side career is to open an online shop! I’m excited to keep taking risks and learning about new careers/hobbies! ✨

Conventions (UPDATE)

A quick update on my convention schedule for 2017:

I’m going to be at Crunchyroll Expo’s Artist Alley ٩(๑ơలơ)۶♡

This is the first year Crunchyroll Expo has a convention and I’m thrilled to be part of their first year! As soon as I have my table number, I’ll let you guys know for those who plan on attending (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Crunchyroll and SacAnime are one weekend after the other... let’s see how that goes cause I’m not gonna lie but, I am a bit nervous! (❀◦‿◦)

I’ll be tabling in the Artist Alley of Kin-Yoobi Com in Union City this Sunday 8/11 from 11 am - 5 pm and selling some merchandise of my art (stickers, charms, and prints). Many of my designs are from my in-class doodles that I turned into illustrations. Feel free to stop by and hang out!

This will be my first time tabling and selling art at an event. I’m really excited since I’ve always wanted to do this and finally had time to plan out the logistics. Here’s a preview of what I have! :D

Artist Alley

Time for my overdue first artist alley experience! ᕕ(  ᐛ  )ᕗ

What can I say? I really enjoyed my first experience and even though my buddy, @saucydollnana, and I didn’t go to bed until almost two in the morning because we were still getting things done, we were still wide awake and ready for our one day adventure! The adrenaline kept us awake… good thing too cause I was the one driving! (。・o・。)

I’m still trying to recuperate those lost hours of beauty sleep… thank goodness for makeup! Otherwise our zombified faces would have scared everyone away! Yikes! ( ॣ•͈૦•͈ ॣ)

Driving to the convention was a piece of cake! Setting up those stubborn cubed grids was not. We didn’t have time to practice our set up the day before and thus, we suffered the consequences… my shortness didn’t help in any way either! | ू´ᆺ`●)

We were saved by our lovely table neighbors! (๑´ㅂ`๑) Like goodness me–I’m ever so grateful for their help (and their tallness)! They were so sweet in helping us tame the grid stand. We were also advised to use zip ties to hold the stubborn grid and given quite a few! Even towards the end of the convention they were giving us tips and suggestions and looked forward to meeting us again~ Finally, our table was set! ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡

Afterwards, it was just sitting and looking pretty! Greeting all the amazing cosplayers and awesome people that graced us with their presence at our table~ ( ◜◒◝ )♡ I was honored to meet two awesome lovelies who followed my tumblr and or my DeviantART account. One of those lovelies was @sharkynnaise. She was adorably adorable and was cosplaying as the only shark princess, Gou!

Her sign said something different–but I can’t quite remember what it said other than flexing muscles (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖  SHE FED ME. She fed the hungry Dee by giving her her yummy chicken and cheddar sandwich ｡･ﾟヾ(✦థ o థ)ﾉ｡ﾟ･｡ SO KIND!! There was no more veggie burgers at the free BBQ… BUT I GOT THE BEST SANDWICH!! But not only that–she hung out with us the entire time and even helped us watch our table and take down the stubborn grid stand towards the end! ( ･ᴗ･̥̥̥ ) THANK YOU SAVVY! (⋈◍＞◡＜◍)。✧♡

And if the other lovely is reading this–THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY! I don’t think you gave me your name nor tumblr, but thank you very much! And tell your little baby brother I said hi! ♡✧( ु•⌄• ) HE HAD A CHUBBY PICHU PLUSHIE–that I totally did not want to take away from him… totally not! (•‾⌣‾•) AHHH!! He told me he had gotten it in one of the vendor’s tables… SO THERE GOES DEE TO GO BUY ONE BUT THEY WERE SOLD OUT!!

I was crushed and defeated… ・゜・(ノД`) But then my buddy found me the Souchke zombie foxie AND I FELL IN LOVE!! (●♡∀♡) My Rinrin officer foxie has been reunited with his friend! All was well in my world once again~

I did pretty well in selling my stuff and doing commissions for being my first time and for such a small cute convention! I was able to recover half of the money I had invested from the day I signed up till just a couple of days before the grand day. I was pleased and can’t wait to bring you guys even more merchandise from different fandoms! My most popular item was actually the chubby glow in the dark Mimikyu charm! HE WAS LOVED! (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧ Towards the end, a couple of artists and I traded items ヾ(´▽｀*)ﾉ☆ I was given two Team Valor window decals! WOOOOH! ヾ(o✪‿✪o)ｼ

All in all, Kin Yoobi Con was more than an amazing first time experience and happy to have done my first artist alley there! I will be going to Anime Destiny this November and hopefully Kraken Con the following weekend. So I look forward to meeting some of you and bringing you guys more silly adventures like these~ ♡♡♡
