Sweat dripping from the ceilings, music dripping from the speakers and water dripping from the soles of my muddy water soaked shoes.
Is this all you could ever want from a student night at Antwerp Mansion?
Keeping your feet moving and the blood pumping in your veins, the sweet remixes by the Kinyume DJ's provide you with all your favourite house tunes to keep your adrenaline levels up and if they say love has no gender, well Kinyume has no genre, his variety of house to bass, dub to garage and a bit of techy house inbetween, he's got you covered.
Whether you're breaking down to Duke Dumont or getting dirty to Julio Bashmore to keep the place jumping, the crowds's energy levels were insane to say the least. I can't express the love we want to spread for Kinyume, that smash it wherever they go, if its Antwerp Mansion or Lightboxx they don't, they won't, disappoint you. Not to mention the help that Kinyume received by T- Man hyping up the set, dropping the beats and grabbing girls on stage to get down, dirty and funky with. He added to the sweet vibe of the night and nothing could be said against this duo. That might be down to their management by Mucky Features as to why they’re so talented but we’ll let you decide that!
The venue has a little to be desired with some seriously questionable furniture and bathrooms, but you just can't help but feel so. damn. cool to be there.
Literally an abandoned mansion, you probably would be petrified to walk through it on an empty night, but filled with students and music moving you in all the right ways, it condenses to the perfect student night, the ambience is laid back with awesome art work on the wall, you walk around feeling like you should be on some MTV video.
Anyway we’re bowing out, go and check out Antwerp Mansion down in Fallowfield for a messy student night, and stay tuned as we visit Joshua Brooks next.
