soooooo i meant to post this like six months ago and kept forgetting BUT here it is! my final college project, “be not afraid”!

i started writing this about a year ago, as i was leaving the mormon church. in the year since then, ive only gotten more happy and healthy. creating this comic really helped me process my feelings, as well as improve as an artist and writer. i hope yall enjoy it :]

this is a little bit late on account of the past day being busier than i planned, but here’s a fairly recent oc, kip!

kip was originally a character in an animation assignment a couple years ago. basically, they love to explore old buildings. one day, they explored an abandoned mansion in the woods. while exploring, they found a huge mirror with black glass. said mirror showed reflections of things that werent there and cracked without anything touching it. when kip touched the mirror instead of doing the sensible thing and leaving, inky black hands pulled kip inside. 

four years later, kip reappeared, shaken and confused. as it turned out, the incomprehensible horrors from beyond reality werent malicious, but intensely curious, which can be just as dangerous. nowadays, kip has found it takes a lot more effort to look human than it used to, and cameras cant quite get their face in focus. fortunately, their best friend sam is still around and doesnt let a little thing like eldritch goop scare her.

im not entirely sure what story i want to put them in? right now im thinking that sam and kip get to be ghost/monster hunters, but for now im just enjoying my very goopy lad :]

the kip scale of spookiness tm
