The contrast between how i perceive the world right now and how my phone's camera does is pretty stark 😅 above: the sky as seen by my phone. The landscape looks almost black. Below: the road i'm on, with the light "correct" as per my perception.

I was trying to capture the colors, which i know is not easy to start with. And now i'm frustrated because i keep failing to get a shot that is even close to the beauty i'm presented.

5am ~26°C

The floor is approx. 40° C hot still. There's a temperature drop that will happen within the next hour, hopefully that's true.

I don't know wether it has rained because i was asleep and the ground dry and hot when i nowmleft the house. Kidteen forgot to open the balcony, so it took me hapf an hour of preparation before I could take Rino outside, setting up the fans and strategically opening windows to create airflow.

I'd be angry at kodteen for forgetting because we've had an argument when i told her, because i could see that she wasn't listening and she went "🙄 i won't forget 😤!" And i told her that she will lf she doesn't pay attention and that i will be the one who will have to do all the preparing then without a chance of getting the flat cool enough and that Rino will pay the price because he can't sweat or just leave the house.

And this is exactlymwhat happened, and as i said i'd get angry but i woke up at 4:30 and that is too early for my brain to activate emotions.

She's been debating going to school because of the heat, and now i'm debating mysepf about sending her anyway because she fucked up AGAIN.

We've walked around the big field and the sky is slowly lighting up. It's never really dark out here, there's simply too many street and other lights. I took a picture but the camera can't get the colours right (or my red filter software just dims the screen too low for me to see idk). Rino just ran away from something, though i don't know what because he was half a step behind me and then gone. And even when i called him he just hurried away for quite a distance. Not mad at him, too early. But once again hurt because he identified me and did not come back to me for protection. He does not trust me and that kind of stings.

Now he's sniffing around in the field again, and i am standing next to it, enjoying the slight breeze. It's so much cooler over here.

My tinnitus is killing me and i don't know why. Then again, i feel like my body is very slowly accumulating malfunctions and breaking down. At least it happens slowly, so it's not a shock for kidteen.

i am so tired of this heat

38°C in Switzerland, in a place with a lake in front of the doorstep (it's 4km away), near the alps and at the edge of the lowlands.

when I went to Barcelona with kidteen, years ago, she was melting at 32°C. and that is in a town that is used to the heat and has a lot of the preparations we have not.

and it's not stopping. some of the experts say that we have to expect another such wave hitting us after a short break. "a short break". They start calling temperatures of 29°C a "break from the heat".

Goodness I am scared of next summer.

holy shit

I just watched Presumed Innocent for the first time and whoa that is one good movie! The "epilogue" was not at all necessary, I would have liked a version without it even better, but it does build a bridge to Rusty's last words.

I did like the pace, which seems typical for it's time, but I LOVED the work of the director of photography. Some of the shots were absolutely artistic, and transitions between scenes made visible with subtle clues that were still very much obvious once you saw them. Some of them certainly caught my eye.
