Yesterday I went to class and work and today I spent the afternoon doing a project for my Professional Skills class, and then a lab handout for Organic Chemistry II that’s due tomorrow. I also have a test in Organic Chem II lecture this thursday hence the massive amounts of information sprawled across my desk.

What’s in my pencil bag?
Spring 2016 (LAST SEMESTER OF UNDERGRAD)
Decided to splurge on a Kipling 100 Pens Case instead of hauling around 2 (sometimes 3) smaller pencil bags. I got it in Cherry because Toasty Gold wasn’t on Amazon or the Kipling website and red matches Herschel’s signature pin stripe lining of their backpacks (I have Little America and Pop Quiz).
For the first side, I was going to put my Sharpie pens in there, but they were difficult to put it and caused the front to warp a bit. Then I decided to put Staedtler Triplus products, including the Fineliners and the Mobile Office Set, which includes a yellow highlighter, ballpoint pen and .5mm mechanical pencil. It was no struggle at all getting them in and out of the loops 👍🏻
The second side fit all 12 of my .38mm MUJI pens. These pens have been lifesavers, especially in PChem when we were allowed to use one 3x5 index card on the exam 🙏🏻 Love ‘em.
I decided to store the rest of the pens horizontally instead of vertically because they’re all relatively the same height and I didn’t like having all of the extra space on top.
I have the Zebra Mildliners (beautiful highlighters), Expo Ultra Fine Dry Erase Markers (great for makeshift dry erase boards using sheet protectors), Sharpie Pens, Pentel RSVP Ballpoint .7mm Pens, Paper Mate Clear Point Mechanical Pencils (.5mm) and Pilot G2 .38mm pens. I also carry a Staedtler eraser, extra .5mm lead, Bic Wite-Out mini (so much better than the regular tape) and a mini Stapler. I have Target’s up-and-up stapler, but I recommend Swingline’s Tot Stapler because you can store staples underneath!!

You know I can’t resist a good MacGyvering project and here’s one that’s quick and easy to do.
If you have a case that has one of these flaps on, like the Kipling 100 Pens Case, then all you need is a needle and thread and some half inch elastic. I used black to match the elastic on the other side.
