King Cedric falls ill and relies on Sir Theodore to manage the day to day affairs of State. Sir Theodore appoints Jane's father as Chancellor.
Sir Theodore appoints Rake's grandfather as Royal Gardner and tasks him with restoring the Royal Gardens .
Prince Caradoc is born. To celebrate the birth of his son, King Cedric announces a grand plan to rebuild the centre of the main keep with a Roman style atrium.
Sir Theodore argues against the re-building of the Atrium. The castle cannot afford such an indulgence. But the King insists.
Ivon arrives to participate in tournament. He gets in debt to the tavern and remains to pay it off.
The opening of the atrium is celebrated with a tournament to mark Prince Caradoc's 10th birthday.
King Cedric dies. Prince Caradoc is only 13 yr. old and Theodore is appointed 'Lord Protector'.
Rebuilding the Atrium has put the Royal Household in debt.
