A beacon in the dark.
The Partials Sequence is under appreciated. Truly.
It has a lot of real world and currently applicable moral dilemmas, RM reminds me of COVID, I think Samm might be a good representation of autism (and done in a very healthy way IMO), there are plots behind plots, well portrayed racism (and why it's bad!), and more.
I read this when I was in my late teens/early 20s. I loved it then and I love it now, about 8-10 years later. I wish it had a bigger following.
Dan Wells wrote an amazing series with a diverse cast of characters and an emphasis on found family and it is so, so slept on.
Marcus: It's really muggy out today.
Kira: if I go outside and all my mugs are on the front lawn, I will kill you.

Part six of my YA heroine fanart-series: Kira Walker from the Partials Sequence. They are very good and you should all read them if you want a very smart girl saving humans and not-quite humans using science while trying to survive in the post apocalypse.
Kira walker aesthetic.

Marcus is probably my favorite character
So let me get this straight, Back in book one, when Kira is captured by Morgan and she’s about to get experimented on..she’s naked. And Samm is like right by her side. So he saw her naked. Aight.
