As a society we just really mainly need to stop thinking of adoption as a second or third choice; I think that really adds to the population problem bc if you want to have kids, you’re expected to ONLY adopt if 1) you cannot conceive or 2) you’ve already had biological children, not just cause you want a kid. There has to be a change on how society see’s children in the foster care system and they need to not be treated as a side note
