So, I have this not-at-all-cool problem in my knee joints, basically they make awful cracking noises and start hurting if I keep my legs bent in the same position for too long. But now I’ve been in the same position for like 40 mins bc Yura is sleeping with her head on my leg and I don’t wanna wake her up?? She’s cuddling me, how could I dare move.

But I’m suffering. Knee hurts. Fuck.

Okay, so Starset has dropped yet another banger. The next album is looking like an antihero arc and I am here for it.

But I wanted to talk about a line in the first verse of TokSik that really jumped out at me:

"They're not zombies, they're toxified"

In a lot of media that features zombies, people who get zombified are gone. They're not them; all that remains are their shambling, well, remains (which means no one feels bad about killing them, preferably with fire). And if I had a nickel for every time someone compared people being online all the time to zombies, I could retire. But that common comparison is subverted here. They're not mindless husks, they're people, fellow victims of the same toxicity. And I think that's important to remember, not just on the internet, but in life in general.

Random thought about Paradox Musketeer Trio

So, the original Musketeer Trio (and Keldeo) are partly Fighting-type because of the heroic connotations that make it super effective against the "evil" Dark type, right? But the future paradox versions replace Fighting with Psychic, of all things. Weak to and ineffective against Dark.

But it does have an advantage against Fighting...

I'm probably overthinking it (it's almost 11PM as I'm typing this), but the implication of "bad guy makes robot version of good guy to beat good guy" now lives rent-free in my brain. And maybe yours too now. You're welcome.
