Headcanon: How Haru (DtL) and MC would live together in the modern era? TY.
They live in a decent apartment in Kyoto, both working to save enough money to buy their own house somewhere quiet.
From her experiences, she works at a five star high class restaurant with dreams of opening her own restaurant similar to Shiki, hoping to bring the life she grew to love to others.
Haru tells her that he works at a Kimono designer and salesman, but his real job is working as freelance assassin.
He only takes jobs that are hundreds of miles away, still using the name Kirisato. With his skills, it took no time at all to make a name for himself, both as a breath-taking geisha and a lethal killer.
Kirisato in modern Japan is the highly saught after entertainer, hosting for celebrities, military, and yakuza alike. Not all bookings include a kill, keeping suspicions away.
As Haru, he books Kirisato’s appointments, lining them up perfectly with his client’s targets. When he gets calls at home, to his love, it sounds like he’s meeting with customers to buy his kimonos.
He’s very good at being discreet, willing to do anything to keep his true identity safe, which in turn keeps his love safe. To this day he hasn’t been caught, but he has a plan if anything were to go awry.
His love knows about his assassin life, but she chooses not to bring it up. She knows how hard it must’ve been to adjust to modern life, and how hard it was to find a job. Old habits die hard.
When they’re home together, nothing makes them happier than staying home together. Part of it is fear that the wrong person could see them, the other part is enjoying what the television has to offer. He’s fascinated with it.
Sometimes, he’ll show up at her restaurant, just to make sure she’s safe. Very flirtatious, they always act as if they’ve never met. At the end of his dinner, he sneaks with her to a corner for a quick dessert.
