Information literacy suits the recent occurrence of skills on the midst of social era to strengthen our knowledge and communication. We live in this era were information is swiftly spreading because information is available day-and-night. Even though Information is available anytime does not mean that those information is valuable or created credibly. It requires us to be ready in all aspects of situation because it is not always easy to be information literate. So it is important to realize the value of this skills enable us to effectively engage in lifelong learning for any decision making in our life from our respective viewpoint. To think critically about information that we experienced and to build information that we know to make a new knowledge that are useful to others. Every individual that understand information literacy can help their lives much easier.
Being able to identify if the information is real or fake can affect us in so many ways, especially in the times today where every information you can get is really important. But how about if those information that you have gathered was misleading and was fake, that is where being an Information Literate can really affect a person. Because it can help not only a particular person but also people around him or her may it be in social media or in personal. These days fake news are more rampant than real news is, for a person to know what is right and what is not has a very big impact in a society for that person can share the correct information hence people who thought that the fake news was real would not get blinded by it. It can affect a person in so many ways that are possible especially in good ways, its relevance today in social era is really huge indeed.
