What are some of your other Josh and Mr. H headcanons? Like, do you believe that they knew each other before the game, what were things like back then when Josh and him first met?

Well I don’t have many since I’m in the fandom for only two months and I try not to think too much about it cause I can get too much emotionally attached. But that’s not the point.I like to think Josh met Mr.H when he was a kid, neglected by his parents, bullied at school ( cause he’s weird and also act like a little douche ) and scared by the UG (or not depends, for him it’s just something natural because he has always seen it ?). He acted like he didn’t care ( well Josh being himself ). Mr.H saw him and it’s clear to him that Josh can see the UG, so he goes talk to him. At first J just ignores him ( like nope I don’t hear you weird old man, and mr.H’s like stop ignore me kiddo ! xD ) but Sanae insist so eventually J listen to him but don’t trust him. Why should he ? After all no one ever cared about him and everyone always make fun of him. It takes a while but finally J learned to trust the elder, though he still a little mefiant. And so Mr.H explain him that he’s not crazy, everything’s fine nothing can hurt him, and if he’s too scared he can just come talk to him. Years go by, Josh often visits Wildkat, especially after being beaten by his classmates, even if he never complains about it and never shed a tear. Mr.H has really grow attached to the boy and he’s sad to see him becoming well the Josh we know, who kinda hate himself and the world, and he's boring of everything… Even if mr.H is here for him. Every time he tries to talk to him, Josh flees.As years passed Josh has learned almost everything about the UG, much to the dismay of Sanae who’s torn apart between the fact that Josh has the potential to become composer, and the fact that he cares too much for let that happen.And then one day he receive a text from Josh saying Sorry. Or not, depend of my mood.Josh shoots himself and well becomes Shibuya’s Composer. For how I don’t really know but I like your headcanon ;)I really like to think all of this happended recently, like max 10 or 5 years before The Game. Sometimes I even imagine it’s been just one year. Well it probably been much longer but I like to think Neku was already born when Joshua died.Please excuse my bad english ! Annnnd you’re turn ! Tell me how do you think they meet ;)

Another random headcanon I have that I have literally no basis for and just like to think about is that sometimes when Josh gets really stressed and has hissy fits he and Mr. H will just sort of spar in the UG, so Josh can blow off steam without negatively affecting anything too much. He can't spar with Megumi because he's more powerful than him and he doesn't want to accidentally erase him or something, but he doesn't have to worry about that with Mr. H. And Mr. H knows how much Josh can take before he needs to stop... it's more Josh blasting while complaining and Mr. H being really amused and dodging.

But it's not really a funny headcanon to me, it's more of a serious one, sometimes their arguments escalate into actual physical battles. Not so often any more, but when Josh first became Composer and was less stable, he was more prone to penting up negative energy and just needing to let it out and when venting and griping just wasn't enough he realized the only way to get rid of it was to just blast it out. And Mr. H had to show him the ropes for being Composer, there was no left over Conductor to teach him and there's not really any programmed knowledge that comes with the gig, so Mr. H took it upon himself to educate Josh, and sometimes that just caused lots of stress because Josh wasn't getting the hang of it as fast as he wanted to or Mr. H just couldn't take Josh's crap any more and they just sort of snap on each other... Mr. H always had enough sense to tone it down, he never goes full out, even if Josh tries to goad him (he can wipe the floor with Josh any day without even tapping into his full powers so it's not much of a problem). Reapers always watch with a sense of awe, most of them have no idea what the heck it is, just lots of lights and explosions and swearing. Megumi hated it when they did it, if Mr. H and Josh hadn't patched up by the end of the battle he was usually the one fretting over any injuries Joshua sustained.

It used to happen a lot when Josh was still trying to get used to his Noise form and dealing with all that stress right at the beginning, but then it just became a once in a blue moon type deal. After the Long Game they started doing it a bit more often, because things are still pretty stressful with the Higher Plane and trying to find a new Conductor and other such things...
