NO NO! You should definitely read it! In fact I highly recommend it, because I feel like I understand everyone better now, even if it's just by a little bit. Diving into their past really helps you realize that this novel (and the anime as well) wasn't just created to satisfy the many fangirls out there, especially since the light novel was written a few years ago. It's so much darker than you can even imagine, and I think that's what makes me sad? But then it also makes me love everyone even more, especially Makoto.
