I think I've seen your picture before." He paused. "That sounds weird, but I've been to your brother's house and just saw pictures around." He laughed nervously and rubbed his neck. "I'm doing great at this, aren't I?"

"I think I'm supposed to use this opportunity to say something interesting but I feel like I've spent my entire life talking to people and getting to know them from across a counter, not like this." she smiled. "I'll be honest, I'm not great at this." The admittance came just as the round started, the words falling from his lips as if they couldn't help but enter themself into the space. Connor knew that it could make things awkward but the woman sitting across from him did not look the type that would want to beat around the bush whether or not her life depended on it. A sigh escaped him and he gave her a faint smile, "I'm Connor, I work as a Fire Lieutenant here in town." He paused for a beat, a quiet huff of laughter leaving his lips. "But I'm not sure if you want to skip the small talk or not at this point." People around them were buzzing in conversation, but he couldn't make out what anyone was saying, trying to focus on the woman right across from him.

Sydney and dating apps didn't work, so Sydney thought she would give speed dating a try. It was something she had opted to sign up for, the support of her friends behind her. She knew a few others had signed up as well and was looking forward to the drinks after it was all said and done to gossip about what had just gone on. Sydney moved to her first table, finding that someone was already seated there. As she rounded it, taking a seat across from her, laughter bubbled over her lips. "Oh, wow," she shook her head, a playful smile tugging at her mouth. "I feel like this totally defeats the purpose, but I'm actually really glad it's you sitting across from me at this table."

How Anthony got involved in speed dating in the first place had been beyond him. Had it been his brother's that encouraged him to get back out there? His growing attraction for a specific realtor in town? Regardless of how he got there, Anthony had answered his questions honestly to make sure that he had the best chance of being matched with someone suitable. As he arrived at the next table, he held up the card with the woman's name on it. She was already sitting there and he looked to the name and back to the woman. "Cheyenne?" He questioned, in case the last person had not moved on. "I'm Anthony." He held out his hand, introducing himself officially to her.

Her mind was racing from the news she got just two days before and she still wasn't sure how to take having a sister she didn't know about. Or hearing that her father had actually been like her ex. It was weird to be in this situation and she was sure she wasn't fully present during this. She had been lost in her head and didn't hear someone sit down across from her until she heard them clear their throat and she jumped. "Oh! I'm so sorry." Sloane said and sat up. "I'm Sloane." Coralie was excited about tonight, but also nervous. She had been out on dates, and been in some relationships, but it had been quite a long time. Despite being occupied with school, she was really wanting to find connection with someone. She had plenty of friends, some closer than others, though there was another type of companionship she was looking for now. Standing up, she looked around for her next table and took a seat. "Oh, hi," she said, eyeing the man's face. Her cheeks began heating up, and she looked away for a moment. She was a little flustered being in this new environment. It was much different from swiping through a dating app. "Sorry. This thing is a little nerve wracking. I've never done something like this." Laughing softly, she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "So... How do you do this?"

When the next person sat down at the table across from her, she thought she recognized him, but she couldn't quite remember where from. "Hey. It's nice to meet you. I think we've run into each other before," she said, leaning forward and resting her arms on the table. "I'm Coralie. I can't remember if we'd ever introduced ourselves."
