At some point I kind of have to ask myself, does she need this level of spine articulation? Yes, yes she does!
Made a new spine for my girl!
benefit of being a robot is she can do this stuff with out it being off putting!
WIP glamor shots of a 40k kitbash project I started. Started
This is what she started as :)
I've kept working on it, here's some updated wip shots of the dust and rust effect I'm going for.
Zuul of Gath, Skeleton champion of Chaos, is now finally a WIP mini form.
it's done. i'll need to get some real good glamour shots soon. background and everything
The Big Brass Behemoth
"This automaton is another one of Mavgard's more showier works. Unlike his utility models (the ones mostly used as bodyguards or for heavy lifting jobs), this one can perform a nice ensemble of music through a series of tubes, valves, and condensed wind essence. "That big brass band sound packed into one 'maton", as he would say.
"Of course, Mavgard isn't really into this whole 'parade' business. He'd rather be working on another golem than marching around shouting HURRAH and all that fluff. However, he can recognize a financial opportunity when he sees one. Not only is the parade good for transporting his creations city to city, but it also makes for good advertising. People are more likely to invest their money into a good, solid golem or automaton when they can see them in action."
It's kinda like a bead-bot... but not really. More like a super glue bottle and miniblind bits bot... (It's legally distinct. Don't sue me BillMakingStuff)
Also painted it with the good ole brass spray paint and grimed up with shoe polish because I felt like doing some low effort painting after having to paint the rhino.
It's enough for what it is.
It's also the second official member of the "Being Able to Stand Up On Its Own Without Much Effort Club"
Look at em go!
Cadia Stands!
Making progress on my pile of guard, this week I finished the command squad and Rocket Artillery team.
First finished green- stuff work too. Not sure it's the best, but it's good practice for the other project in working on.
The field guns have been some of the most fun, just getting to make little dioramas, some environmental story telling.
Also I'm really happy with the OSL.
Finally, I made a completely Kitbash cadian sniper using the upgrade sprue, two lasguns fused together, a stalker bolt rifle scope, and a myriad of green stuff creations.
Overall, it's been very rewarding to work on them, however monotonous it feels. Probably going to take a break to work on something else once this half is done (15 more cadian shock troops). I recently talked down a shallow throne box and am looking forward to cracking that open.
On a whim I put some of the last leg and torso parts I had together for one last trooper. Then an idea came to me to make an automatic rifle legionnaire since I tend to field one in my free play list (using the semi-auto rifleman instead). With a chauchat made by a New Antioch player in the Trench Crusade discord, I constructed the fella who’ll probably be one of the last additions to my Trench Ghosts for the forseeable future.
