@keeezzum you've been doing renderings of cool car concepts, I'd suggest taking a look at the GTM Libra? (One of my favorites, conceptually)

Front and rear clip on composite monocoque chassis, rear-mid engine—that trailing-arm suspension!

Anyway, they built up pretty nice—shame they're not made anymore.

If you look closely, you'll see Miata door latches and a gazillion other OEM components. The engine too, of course.
