Kai grew up very music orientated thanks to his dad, he taught him how to play guitar as soon as he was old enough to hold one. And instantly, it was all he ever did and all he ever wanted to do. He was the kid who took his guitar everywhere he went, he got in trouble at school for playing too much, he got in trouble at home for playing too loud until eventually his parents had to soundproof his bedroom.
Because of his mother’s ever advancing illness, Kai has become the typical frat boy. He parties, drowning himself in alcohol and friends and girls. He has no interest in settling down or getting too close to people. He’s too scared of losing people like he’s convinced he’ll lose his mother. The only thing keeping him grounded and sane is his work and his music and the band (Paramore). He loves what he does and uses it as another thing to drown himself in.
SECRET(S)
(tw: illness/cancer) Kit’s secret is mainly kept from his brother and his family members. He’s the only person who knows that his mother (Lexi) has, after 20 years, been diagnosed with ovarian cancer after fighting and surviving breast cancer, it’s now spread. She doesn’t even know that Kit knows she’s secretly getting treatment again.
