Hi there! I really appreciate what you do with this blog. I had a couple of questions, forgive me if you've been asked them before; 1. Is there any way to smooth out upholstery foam more evenly? I've been chopping at it for a while and I'm still concerned that when furred it will look lumpy. 2. I've removed a portion from the back of the mask to allow for mobility and now the mask doesn't fit as tight. Is there a way to fix that? Thank you so much for your help!

So now to your questions:

This would be easier to answer if you submit a picture, but over all it is to say. Smaller Scissors and smaller cuts and the foam smoothens out. When I started working with foam I always pick some scrap pieces and try different techniques on them. So feel free to submit a picture for more accurate help

I would say add some elastic straps. Like you see on resin blanks for example. Thos should hold your mask in place.
