Her ‘Kitchen Show’ just appealed to me immediately. Something about routine and there being a particular right way to do things that improves the sensory feedback you get from the situation. Like an abosolute idealised way of existing/living for maximum satisfaction. But also letting yourself embrace and enjoy the mundane as divine. I think maybe any kind of routine you follow living in everyday life is a religious ceremony of sorts. The ‘modern family’ is a religion. People worship the idea of it. Shopping is definitely a type of religion. The different sects are decided in which brands you support. I don’t mean all this in a derogatory way, I’m not bitter. In fact, I’m willing to embrace it.
It might be worth looking a little into religion and spirituality in terms of comparing it to facets of our culture. I’ll post a link to an interview on youtube that says it much better than I can.
A few snapshots from our trip last week. We had a wonderful time exploring Milan and seeing top trends at EuroCucina. Lots of exciting kitchen and bath products launched this year.
