I wake up at 5am every single day and it’s changed my life. I haven’t always been this way, though. I used to love going to bed at 3am and waking up at noon. I thought that was true freedom. But it took me awhile to realize that the freedom I had always been searching for was hiding behind the sacrifices I had to make. Like when we’re kids, we think eating whatever we want, doing whatever want and staying up as late as we want was our chance to enjoy life to the fullest but once we get older we start to learn those hard lessons that eating well, working out and going to bed early was actually the right move. That’s why I read, write, meditate, workout, plan my day and take a sunrise photo all before 9am. I need that time for myself to reflect, appreciate and set the tone for my day because when 9am hits, everyone and everything else starts to set the tone with or without me. Even deciding to be vegetarian three years ago allowed me to educate myself further than the proteins everyone thinks I lack lol But I promise I’d rather live through example than to preach. That’s why I’m thankful to @kitchentoke for my feature in their Winter 2019/2020 issue. It’s amazing to be be able to share my love for cannabis, food and personal growth in this new year. I even shot all the photos featured of myself! Grab a copy for yourself, now and you’ll have my favorite fresh pappardelle with winter greens, hazalnuts, and ricotta salad paired with cannabutter. #kitchentoke 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠?
