About that grinding pic, your tag said how. In Bowser's Castle, the Koopatrolls will sometimes call for back-up. If you wait before killing the last one and just do nothing or heal, eventually they'll keep calling in back-up and you can get to 100 star points from a single battle. Also works on Fuzzies and certain types of Shy Guys!

I think Maka was a very balanced character, actually. She was more weak than anything, but she grew stronger with Soul by her side.

Sounds right to me.

It is not as if Maka is without flaws even from the first chapter--and it is not only her distrust of Soul and of some men. The first story identified her similarity to Soul, that being a hardheadedness that meant she relied on brute force and her already strong talents instead of building upon her soul perception and improved resonance with Soul (both flaws identified when Stein fought them). 

She grew stronger by working with Soul and other characters: she improved soul perception through that resonance; she figured out how to work with Black Star (despite his personality) and Crona (despite zher attack on Soul and eventual betrayal of the Academy); and she figured out how to balance her strengths mentally, physically, and spiritually, not depending on only any one. 

And she is subject to her silly moments: sometimes she likes to imagine she is in a book, and then there is this:

It’s good to see you actually responding about the issue instead of ignoring it though. You’re very involved with people who talk to you, and that’s great!

Thanks.  I think I have more work to do to respond to these stresses, so I appreciate that people do pass those memes along about "Say 5 nice things about yourself," since that is better than what I tend to do and dwell about things that bother me.
