Are they enhanced in some way? Like drugs/metal transplants/magic to improve their capacity?
Are they a favorite? Are they precious or replaceable?
Do they have a person they care for? Is it someone they are supposed to protect or is it in spite of orders?

1) No. The army considers its foxy abilities and immortality enough. And honestly the war is seriously depleting their resources, there may not be enough to alter Kitt anyway.
2) I wouldn't exactly call it a favourite. It's not easily replaceable though, I mean there are others of its species but its immortality isn't a facet of the whole species, that's a Kitt thing, so it can't be replaced easily. But the army doesn't care enough about that that if Kitt caused a big problem then they wouldn't just replace it. Its handlers aren't sentimental about it.
3) While it's a weapon, nobody it sees regularly. There's nobody in the army who cares about it, and none of them it cares about either. It doesn't get close to prisoners deliberately, bc it knows what it's likely to be forced to do to them and it can't afford to feel like that. It still cares about its family and community though, although it doesn't have many left at the start of its captivity, and even less as the years go on. It shouldn't care, but nobody needs to know about that so long as it doesn't show it.
