Fetal kitten skeleton, cleaned using oxidation.
What a project this was! I made this as a trade for a tattoo. It is an electroformed Kitten skeleton. I de-fleshed the entire kitten and dried it in the pose I wanted, glued the joints, and then painted the entire thing in conductive paint. I added a tiny amethyst to it’s forehead and then electroformed the entire thing in a huge tank. It took like 4 or 5 days and constant attention, moving around, making sure everything got hit evenly. Once it was finished, I let it sit and polished the highlights a week later instead of doing a blue patina. I used some scrap wood for the base, cut the shape I wanted with a band saw, and then used a router to do the edges. I flame painted, stained, and sealed it and then secured the kitten to it. If you would like something similar, feel free to message me.

Found a jar for my kitten bones and placed it with my others :)
My friend is re arranging her garden and in the process disturbed her kitten she had buried. Her bones have been stained a lovely brown by the soil. I'm going to try and piece her skull back together.
