It's one thing to criticize parasocial relationships. Yet, it's another to interact with the people who support and buy your art and say "I don't love you."

Beyoncé still thanks every single crowd she performs in front of on the Renaissance tour. She still tells her fans "if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to do this."

What Doja's doing isn't some pushback against weird fans, it's a public attack against anyone who liked her pop art. There could be a thousand reasons why she might feel the need to preemptively defend her new sound, but nothing justifies trying to tear down her mostly young online fanbase.

The people running these accounts are kids. These teens look up to her, and she's purposely attacking them. That's cruel and unusual.
