sylus sighs. he doesn't have it in his heart to move you. you're content, and that's all he cares about. as long as you're not running away from him, this cat thing wasn't so bad. it was a little payback for the time when he turned part cat; when he would cling to you, albeit with some stubborn caracal dejection.
with a soft mew, you pause your biscuit making temporarily and look at his face, and he looks up when you stop.
"what is it?" that stare you give him has no answers. you don't necessarily want want anything. being right here with him was enough.
"kitten... use your words." sylus tuts, watching you clamber across his body to loaf on his chest, changing your biscuits making to the muscles beneath his shirt. you still refuse to speak to him, feeling rather lazy and honestly peaceful. speaking would mess your 9 to 5 in the biscuit factory up.
sylus just watches. admires the way you knead. it by no means hurts, it feels quite nice. like a massage with tiny acupuncture needles. it's relieving him more than he thought it ever would. so much so that he has to praise you with a gentle pet on your head, his hand smoothing down your fur. your little body purrs and vibrates with happiness.

Kitty!MC actually has wings but they're rather small and damaged from when Asmoday attacked her and her siblings.
Kitty!MC has a tiny vest tailored made for her Kitty form so when she's out doing commissions people can know "Adventurer Cat on Duty. No petting allowed."
Kitty!MC like wearing scarfs and ribbons that show what element she has at the moment. If Ameno, she wears a green ribbon or scarf, if Geo, she wears a yellow ribbon or scarf.
Will actually go all cat loaf on people she trusts. This is a very special moment when this happens, cause it shows she trusts you completely... and knows you're safe compared to them (Abyss Twins).
May or may not have gotten kidnapped a few times by the Melusines when visiting Fontaine. It was fine, she enjoys it when that happens.
She is definitely spoiled by all the Archons (baring the Tsaritsa cause Kitty!MC hasn't met her yet), and is basically their emotional support Kitty in return.
Nahida definitely takes advantage of this. Poor Radish nearly cried when Kitty!MC let her hug her small fluffy body after finally being freed.
Chiori definitely makes Cat safe outfits for Kitty!MC.
Somehow Kitty!MC was adopted by the local wolf pack within Mondstadt? She thinks it has something to do with Razor and Andrius, but if she's not careful, she gets scuffed and will be carried off by one of the Wolves.
So we know that we can take care of the housewardens as kittens but will they take care of us if we are kittens?
good question, excellent question really and its definitely... depends on the housewarden. okay but before I answer this, I got a request (and working on said request) of this exact scenario, but idk when that will be posted, so here are my thoughts and personal opinions. sorry for the bad grammar and inconsistent thoughts, im literally so stressed rn lol

im going to say it, but the best housewarden and dorm to be looked after is pomfiore. kitty!mc would literally be treated like royalty. vil would take excellent care of you and would pamper the shit out of you. he's constantly making sure you look your best and will make you little hats and bows to wears (the two of you have coordinating fits) might even carry you around in a little handbag like chloe from beverly hills chihuahua no joke
second is riddle, he's responsible and constantly keeping a watchful eye on you. tho, he's never had a pet before so he's kinda clueless. but treys there to watch you when riddle can't and the adeuce (which is no doubt the cause of your transformation) would be extra gentle with you. cater makes a fan page of kitty!mc tho :/
at first kalim and malleus was a tie for third, but kalim gets the one up bc of Jamil. nothing against diasomnia but jamil will make edible food. kalim is a little rough not that he means to (he's a little oblivious) but he's always carrying you around and getting you the softest pillows. gives you little kissies on the head before he goes mimi ni-night
malleus has probably had one pet in the past probably like a crow or something, but that was eons ago. so he's a little dense but learns fast and takes really good care of kitty!mc, hold yous in his arms like a baby(me next plz), shows you magic tricks, let's you sit on his head so you can get a closer look of the gargoyles, will read you bedtime stories, probs had Lilia make t-shirt for all of diasomnia with your face on it(kitty obvi), he gets cat ears to match with you. its really hard to tell, who the one enjoying it. he makes sure to keep you away from the kitchen anytime Lilia's up to mischief ahem, creative endeavours.
I kinda forgot about Azul (sorry sweetie) but! i am content with his placement. will def try to market off of your cuteness and will probably forget that you're there, which has led to him closing up monstro lounge and leaving you there in the dark until he wakes up in cold sweat and runs to get you in his matching silk pajamas, octopus slippers and little night cap. but if you can look over that, Azul isn't the worst. he'll play with you, feed you the best food, let you lay on his lap(let me lay on his lap instead) and just generally is a lot more open about his gentleness? kindness? emotions?
he gets points docked down bc of floyd and the jade (they know what they've done)
for last place, Leona and Idia are tied. I can't make up my mind
on one hand, Leona treats you more like a neck pillow then anything (also considering your a whole ass kitten in a predator den is kinda really terrifying) he purposely forgets about you and will carry you around but your scruff. will give you to ruggie at some point who just might(will) hand you to jack bc 'you're friends!' but on the flip side, he's also a cat. and will take all the cat naps you want with you. tends to groom you and vice versa, it's a little weird but Leona's really warm and his purrs are comforting, so who are you to object (let me lay on your chest Leona, plz just one chance)
idia doesn't even take care of himself, what makes you think he can take care of another living being??? Ortho is your literal guardian angel (bless that child) the only pro I can think of is that idia doesn't leave his room, so you can always nap on his lap and he doesn't really mind (at first he was a fuckin statue) his hands are cold but fingers are really long, so it feels live when he runs his fingers through your fur. also tried to dress you up in cosplays, so if you're into that, cool, if not, I'm sorry? (me personally, I would not let that slide)
so these are my thoughts, I had a lot of fun writing it bc I have too many thoughts and but no will power to write it unless asked so... yeah. hope this answers your question :)
This idea, but I want to make things more angsty for Kitty!MC. And by that, I mean the Abyss Twins placed a cursed collar on Kitty!MC prior to them landing and getting trapped on Teyvat, and she's forcibly locked in her Kitty form...

Well, considering this still takes place in a au where Teyvat adores Kitty!MC, there was no shortage of attempts to break this curse collar once Kitty!MC explained what exactly it was... but nothing seemed to work.
Nothing.
Nothing the Archons did worked. Nothing the Hexenzirkel did worked. Nothing Neuvillette did once he got his authority back worked.
Hell, Skirk even had a go at it with her Abyss control, but it didn't work!
Whatever technology that came from Kitty!MC and the Abyss twin's civilization just kept twarting every attempt Teyvat made to free Kitty!MC and let her return to human form... or at least, until Nod Krai.
Ok, so, I have two routes for how this can go!
First route starts after Dottore was defeated, Columbina locates Kitty!MC and her siblings' spaceship, and a small hope started to build up in her heart...
So, with Columbina's help, they travel to the moon, found the spaceship, and after some digging around, Kitty!MC found it.
The key to her collar.
Columbina takes the key, and with careful fingers, unlocks the collar, and there was a bright light-
...And Kitty!MC was no longer a Kitty. She was now in a human form, with of course cat ears and tail, but a human form none the less!
Now the second route is a bit more... cracky? Silly? I might've gave poor Kitty!MC second hand embarrassment... 😅
But basically, this also takes place after the Dottore fight... but the collar just falls apart, freeing Kitty!MC, and letting her return to her human form... whoch just so happened to be naked.
Cue her accidentally flashing Columbina, Sandrone (she survives cause i and Kitty!MC say so) Lauma, Nefer, and poor flustered Flins.
Flins offers her his coat, but poor Kitty!MC turns back into her kitty form and curls up into a embarrassed ball of fluff.
No one teases her, thankfully. But Flins has trouble looking her in the eye for a while...
Hiya! I wanted to join in on the whole 'MC as the twins sibling, but they hate MC, and all of Teyvat also hates MC' au! But I'm making it a bit more fluffy and soft for poor MC.
How? Well, I saw that idea you suggested about Kitty!MC, and decided, how about she was able to shape shift into a tiny kitty at the start? And with adorable looks, sad little mews, and squishable toe beans, Kitty!MC wins the hearts of the Genshin characters!
An added bonus in this could be she barely has to lift a finger- er, I mean, a paw in each nation cause her mere tiny, fluffy, but oh so sad presence kickstarts the characters into actually fixing things themselves.
In fact, the only real time Kitty!MC had to do something really was back in Mondstadt when purifying Dvalin. It was mostly by accident, but Kitty!MC gets caught up in the winds when Dvalin came tearing through the first time, gets blown away, and ends up right on top of Dvalin.
Cue a very terrified, but determined Kitty!MC trying to purify Dvalin... and she fails?
Oh no, not fail, because unlike the original 'both the twins and Teyvat hates MC au', I'm going with a idea that was suggested that Dvalin is simply in a coma like state, and Kitty!MC did actually purify him.
Its just gonna take a while for the purification to be completed... and Venti knows that, so no, he doesn't act like his dick counterpart in the original au.
No curses or hatred shall be directed towards Kitty!MC!
Also, random little hc for this, but Paimon carries Kitty!MC around in a personal baggy hand made by Albedo cause 9 out of 10, MC stays in Kitty mode. Its rare to see her in human form...
Another thing. Natlan. Yeah, even if it was revealed that Kitty!MC was related to the leaders of the Abyss Order, Mavuika is like "...Ok then-", and slaps down adoption papers.
There. Problem solved. Kitty!MC was her little sibling now, so holds no relation to the Abyss Order.
But really, I actually imagine Mavuika having witness how the Abyss Twins treat Kitty!MC, and how Kitty!MC reacts to them in return.
It does not paint a nice picture. Mavuika doesn't like the picture that it paints. In fact, a LOT of Genshin characters shares this feeling.
