Kitty Nibbles
Sanity was never something Zai considered to be Jinx’s strong suit. She had been through way too much to ever be considered sane again. Or whole. But that didn’t bother Zai nearly as much as you’d think. He knew, or he liked to think he knew, the real Jinx and knew her desire to just be her inside her own head. But when she started talking to the tentacle that was reaching out for him, he got a little nervous. Still, if he wanted to leave her out of fear he would’ve been long gone by now.
“I’ve been looking for you, mostly. Trying to keep the sheriff out of your clock tower. I…” his ears drooped, as if in shame. “I’m sorry…without you there they took it…” he had tried to claim it as his own, so they wouldn’t be able to take Jinx’s stuff, but he didn’t have the power Jinx had to resist them.
Jinx shrugged at the admission, “Ah, don’t worry too much about it, Kitty, I won’t really feel like I can go in there safely for a while, anyway. And I can always get most’a it back from Piltover’s Lamest whenever I do. But, until I can work out this... Problem I got here, I need to steer clear’a large groups of tasties... uh... large groups of people. People.”
Jinx frowned and rubbed her head, “This... this stuff’s been gettin to me, Kitty. I spent too long in there, and... It got in my head. I think I’m doin okay, but I don’t like more stuff in my head.” She looked up again, a bit of liquid on the corner of her mouth, “And I’m so hungry all the time... just really really hungry... It hurts, ya know? It’s like I ain’t ate in WEEKS, even if I just ate... I don’t like it.”
