Clipped from [X]
There is something off about the way the man looks, moves perhaps, the blank look lasts for too long. There is not shock as she’d expected, or even confusion, just a sort of bland look that didn’t seem to fit the situation. It had her tilting her head in confusion as she eyed him a bit more critically. Was it an illusion? It could be, she felt like she was looking at a caricature for a moment before he seemed to remember himself.
“Of course, you’re free to gather what you need to survive and the like. You’re always welcome here as long as you cause no trouble and keep your, gifts in check.” It wasn’t exactly true, but it was as far as Lux was concerned. She watched him carefully for a long moment as he turned to make his way out of the city.
For a moment she wavered before she decided maybe escorting him out of the city wouldn’t be the worst idea. He didn’t seem dangerous, and though she was tired and simply wanted to go home and curl up he’d probably do well with the escort. At least if he was with her no one would question things, he’d be guaranteed safe passage to the gates at the very least.
With that in mind she picked up her pace to catch up with him, walking beside him quietly for a moment. “How about I walk you to the gates, Demacia’s pretty big for someone that doesn’t come here all the time.” Her smile is warm as she walks with him, though her steps slow down once she’s beside him. Ah what she wouldn’t give to just go home, but this is important too. A little extra walking never hurt anyone.
“So what’s your name stranger?”
