Get to know yourself with some simple questions. Take yourself away from everything and think about a decision you want to make. Give yourself two, simple and straightforward options: Black or white? Big or small? High or low? Hot or cold? Mild or spicy? You probably have someone in your life that you associate with a specific sensation and enjoy the memories and feelings that you experience when you are in contact with them. If you miss that person, try to make something that reminds you of them. It could be a drink, a meal, a scent, a tangible sensation you can manipulate with your hands or other body parts. If you miss someone in your life, picture yourself interacting with that person. You don’t have to completely indulge in the feeling you get when you’re around them, sometimes you just need a teeny-tiny taste of them. Sprinkle them into your life, then dust them away when you’re done. We all want to have fun, memorable, enjoyable lives and sometimes we have trouble understanding if we need something or we just want it. Declutter your life by putting simple labels on things so you can find what you want when you want or need it. If you spend too long thinking about a particular experience you’re going to feel incredibly sad, angry, anxious, or stressed. We need simple solutions so that we can be there for the people we care about when they feel like interacting with us, and we need to be able to protect ourselves and assert our right to exist in the space that we occupy, physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. Sometimes we are going to feel something so intensely that we’re going to act in an odd, bizarre, quirky, weird, unusual manner. It might be so intense that the people around us are going to be extraordinarily frightened. That’s okay. They were startled. They were pulled out of a situation or feeling too quickly. Sudden and/or unexpected interruptions are going to happen at some point in our lives. We need to make sense of everything so that we can be ready to act when necessary. That’s why there are fire drills, tornado warnings, and other routines that we practice or rehearse frequently, but at our own pace. #kittycatspeechpath 😻😘✌🏼 https://www.instagram.com/p/BpGno1MFEr3/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=kv2zx21w5p6b
