Never Gonna Give You Up | Sylki Season 2 Finale Fix-It (Kinda) Fic
(spoilers for season 2 finale)
I NEEDED to get this off my chest after seeing the finale.
I understand why what happened had to happen. But I wanted some confirmation first. So this is me making my peace with it.

Loki looked into her blazing emerald eyes again. The hate, the suffering, the pain, the betrayal. His arms shook from the effort needed to hold back her arm and the blade she held. Bloodthirsty and vengeful, sheâd honestly never looked more beautiful. And heâd never felt more sorry for her.
-âSo do it then. Get your throne. KILL ME!â Sylvie spat in his face, her eyes brimming with tears, anticipating what to her would be the last, most painful betrayal her heart could take. But even as she said it, she could see the resignation in this Lokiâs face, where a second ago there had been panicked but palpable affection, and shared pain. He had just wanted her to be free of this pain, and wanted her to find her freedom with him.
But now his jaw was set. He was strong, sure, but she was stronger, wilier. She knew his weaknesses inside and out. Her eyes darted back and forth, blinking rapidly to keep the tears at bay. Keep them from making her seem weak.
âSylvie. I should have told you this ages ago but⊠I love you. I can heal your pain, I can take it all away. You donât have to do this.â
His voice was warm and sincere, like liquid honey dripping. He was wily too. He knew what spots to poke. But even as her anger surged at this new attempt to manipulate her emotions, it also quailed from the touch of his hand on her cheek. MaybeâŠ
âI have been where you stand. I know and can say for a fact that you will not find peace here. Trust me. Believe in me, and I can show you. Put down your sword. Come with me.â
His voice shook, and tears slid unabashedly down his own face now. Seeing him so vulnerable and shockingly honest made her pause. Her arm dropped a few millimeters. Her skin burned under his touch. He didnât pull away. Neither did she.
He Who Remains behind them raised an eyebrow. This was new.
âTell me. Give me a reason to stop. Because right now I donât have any.â
Loki kept her gaze and leaned close until their foreheads touched. He could smell her, that familiar scent of sweat and metal and rosesâŠsheâd replaced it with some discount store soap and perfume in their current timeline. It had taken some of the ferocity away. But now, like this, at the height of her angerâŠit smelled like home.
And so strange all at once.
He sent her images. Pictures and snippets of what was to come. The spaghettification of all timelines if she succeeded, the pain and suffering she would causeâŠ
But also the life she could lead if given the chance.
It was still McDonaldâs. Still mundane. Almost normal. But now she came home to him. She could summon him whenever she wanted and he would be there waiting. They would spend nights in front of the tv, eating horrible food and laughing, laughingâŠThe pure joy on his face when she brought home a stray puppy, and named him ThorâŠ
Startled by her own moist giggles, Sylvie finally opened her eyes. He stared back, searchingly, hopefully. Like a little boy on Christmas morning.
âYou canât promise me this.â Her hands slowly curled into fists. It was so unfair. She wanted ALL of that so badly, almost more than she wanted to kill He Who Remains. Almost.
âI can. And I am. Please, Sylvie. We can be together. Just walk away.â
Loki didnât even bat an eye as she reached in to kiss him, just like last time. He pulled her close, held her, felt every inch of her body against his, as closr as he possibly could, nostrils full of that final scentâŠher hair brushing against his faceâŠ
With a deft spin, he was on his back on the floor, and she was across the hall, blade already buried deep into He Who Must Not Remains. A startled gasp, but his face had a sudden twitch of satisfaction before it went slack.
Loki covered his face, wiped the newest cascade of tears from his cheeks. Pushed back his hair and sniffed in defeat. Steeling himself for what came next.
He turned, about to go back and try again, but before he could, he locked eyes with her one last time.
It was always the same. No satisfaction, no triumph. Just emptiness. A sadness. She never forgave him. She never allowed herself to just love him.
In any timeline.
But he couldnât stop trying. He would keep trying. He had to. There had to be a way.
âYouâve tried violence and youâve tried love. I wonder how long it will take you to realize the bottleneckedness of the situation.â
He Who Remains quipped, back in a seated position, very much alive in his chair behind his desk. Loki looked at him balefully.
âThis isnât like the fairy tales, champ. Think outside the box.â
Loki smirked, paused time and looked to Sylvie, mid leap.
âMm. Maybe when I get tired of holding her. Iâll try something else. Until thenâŠjust relax and enjoy the show.â
And with a flick, he unpaused time, and went to his beloved once again, arms outstretched.
Didnât Maisie say Arya âreally criesâ this season? Like full on bawls her eyes out? That hasnât happened yet!
I think Jon will be the one to kill Dany, but he will die trying. And thatâs why Arya will cry.
She will finally be so tired of all the death and destruction she will leave Westeros. Leave behind her life as a killer and revenge seeker to go elsewhere.
If she leaves alone, it would be absolutely poetic if she was leaving pregnant. Iâd love for her to go back to Gendry, but Iâm not sure if thatâs where the showâs gonna go with it.
Just being cautiously optimistic and glad our girlâs story isnât quite over yet.
And they brought Gendry back for a reason. It would be a little sad if his only role was to help Aryaâs story progression, but understandably feminist at the same time since women are so often that in menâs storylines, so Iâd be ok with his story ending there, as long as Arya had a way to remember what he taught her.
Being cautious AF. Iâm so not ready for this to be over...
Just in the whole Arya being fixated on possibly dying and not allowing herself to even imagine she could ever have a normal, happy life. Katnissâ whole deal was that she thought the world was too broken to ever recover enough to have a family in. She loved Peeta, but she couldnât bring herself to be with him because of it. Even after heâd recovered enough to remember they cared about each other. And there she was at the end, she had finally realized it was ok to want those things.
I think if Gendrya is endgame this is rhe way itâs going to go. With all the imminent threats out of the way and a fresh clean slate started, Arya will allow herself to just be human, to be a woman who loves a man and wants those things with him. Not 100% because she wants them either. Because I think her entire journey has been selfish and passionate and all about what she thinks is the best way to save the ones she cares about. For her to realize that hey, now that she doesnât have to do these things anymore, she can start thinking about what someone else wants. And how seeing her loved ones be happy is something she wants now that she doesnât have to worry about keeping them alive.
It would be a nice ending for her. Too nice of course, so it wonât happen. But I just find it really interesting how everyone seems rigidly convinced Arya wonât die. I think that frightens me more then anything. Sheâs expected to live, so sheâs got a MASSIVE target on her back. The romance subplot they built for her could have been to rope on the stragglers who didnât really like her and she now has someone to be devastated when she dies besides her family. I just...itâs all making me nervous but hopeful all at once. I want to see that hunger games ending for our girl, but then, its becoming so expected, I donât think its gonna happen.
I really canât get over the poetic cinema that is how much Aryaâs current hairstyle mimics Lyannaâs, and how much I thought of Lyanna and Robert approving of all of this. Like all the mistakes and wars and bloodshed that happened because of Lyanna and Rhaegar, and this next generation made it right.
They canât die. They canât. It would be so much more creative and interesting to have Arya and Gendry have to deal with what happened after the battle.
Mike could feel her shivering the moment he wrapped his arms around her. His long, neverending arms that still couldnât quite reach far enough to shield her from the world and what had happened to her all those years ago, and continued to happen. Her breathing started to settle and he held on as if for dear life, willing her heart back into her chest. Her eyes were still darting so she closed them. Her own arms were wrapped around herself, themselves struggling to protect something from the cruelty of the word. A small, white, insignificant stick of plastic teetered on the edge of the coffee table.
âWhat if it comes out like me?â She gasped out, barely coherent, her teeth chattering together. âWhat if itâs different? Wrong?â
Mikeâs brows furrowed, he buried his sharp chin deep into her wavy long hair and sighed.
âThere will be absolutely nothing wrong with this baby, J. I promise you. Nothing we make can ever be wrong.â
Eleven bit her lip and took a deep shuddering breath. Mike only called her J or Janie when he was really worried about her, or she was having a really bad attack. She wiped her nose. It came back clean. Not that bad of an attack then. She tried to calm down. The stress couldnât be good for the fetus. Adrenaline was believed to have adverse effects. But it was so hard for her to stay calm.
âIâm afraid...â
Mike led her over to the couch and they both sort of sagged into it.
âYou gotta stop that. You know Iâll always protect you. Both of you. Always. Just trust me.â
The slender 20 year old woman turned to face her boyfriend and the father of this tiny life. Those same brown eyes, always a little sad, a little hurt. Even when he laughed. Did she do that to him? Drag him down into the depths of her own despair. Her mental prison she might never escape?
âI hope it looks like you.â
Mike smirked. She was coming out of it.
âNah. Iâm a mess. I hope he or she looks like their pretty momma. Big oleâ brown eyes and curly brown hair.â he strokes her cheek gently.
Suddenly her eyes grew unfocused and she started to tremble again.
âOh god Mike, Dadâs gonna kill you.â
Mike scoffed. âWhy? Weâve lived together for like a year already.â
âBut...weâre not married. You have to be married first.â
âOkay then. Marry me.â
Elevenâs eyes got as big as saucers. Mike couldnât help but laugh.
âIs that a yes?â
âIsnât it too late?â
âNah. Itâs called a shotgun wedding.â
Eleven looked horrifed âwhy do we need a gun?â
Mike shook his head, still smiling for miles. He was going to love this girl forever.

The 23rd of february came around and kind of poked my head in and asked her how it was going, she said she was prepping for Genericon and was a little busy, she said she would do it and use it as a sample badge for her booth at the con

Around april 11th (i dont remember when she asked because it was in a commet) she asked if i could email her my ref because she would be takingr a hiatus on instagram (around the time the art tracing incidents came unto her)
I asked if she had recieved my email and she said yes

April 29th rolls around and i asked her about the drawing and i got no reply, and i didnt message her again until the fourth of may and i asked about how long it had been (being as it had been four months.)

I didnt hear back from her until june 14th about matters in her comment section over drama which isnt relevant to this.
I then messaged her on the 21st of august, asking her about the drawing again, i told her âuh, hi elbi, i wanted to ask you about the art againâ and then i sent another one aftwr she read the message and didnt send a reply. âIf you dont want to do it,just tell me instead of avoiding me everytime i askâ

TL;DR: Elbi has owed me art since february and everytime i ask its either im ignored or i get tude
With regard to this person's art trade issue in a previous post. I'd like this opportunity to defend myself.
I offered that badge as a "gift" trade, that I only do to thank others for doing art for me, or when they've supported me in some way. I did NOT ASK for the artwork they created, it was originally meant as gift art, and out of kindness, since they were supporting me, I offered to do a casual trade, which I normally do not do unless the artwork is at a similar skill level to mine, which this was definitely not. This person draws like a grade schooler, and it was NOT a fair trade. At the time, I had another user, dj_lb15 also do a similar trade with me, again, a casual trade where I offered to do art in return (for artwork I did not ask for) whenever I had the time. They also have not received their side yet either, and I have explained the same exact thing to them. They thankfully understood and didn't choose to try and lash out like this one did. I have simply not been doing traditional finished badges for ANYONE for several months as I focus on suit commissions and real life stuff.
I reacted as I did to this person due to this being a "gift" trade, and not an actual "business" trade where we both agree to do an item in exchange. I always follow through on those, I did 5 for Genericon and got those delivered within a few weeks. It bothers me when a person does this and demands their side when this was essentially a piece of gift art I offered to do for them in exchange for gift art they did for me. If it's not a monetary transaction and I didn't ASK for the trade, it's as low on my priority list as gifts. I explained this to this person and they obviously reacted poorly. Just want to clear this up, that they're using this post here to slander me just because they don't like how I handled the situation. They even told me they're "unfamiliar" with how trades work.
Well, I hope this clears it up for you.
This person commissioned me for a fullsuit to be completed in late May of 2016.
 During the course of the commission, the person exhibited several behaviors that caused me some concern.
 I started work on the head in late January/early February 2016 as I received the foam base made by a friend of theirs (@Furzoid on Instagram/Vine) and things seemed to be going smoothly. I posted several WIP photos of my edits to the base and asked for approval before continuing. She gave it, and so I continued work on the head until it was nearly complete. Here is a link to a video of some of WIP photos I posted. This is not even all of them, I only included enough to see the process:
 Now, once her head was almost done I shelved her project to work on others that had close deadlines (Again, hers wasnât due until May) Contact fell off for the next few months, as is customary with most makers when theyâre not working on your project steadily.
She began to contact me frequently for updates, and I had to explain several times I had none as her suit wasnât being worked on yet.
 When I finally did get around to stuffing the DTD she sent I quickly realized it was very poorly done, and it split a few hours after I stuffed it, to the point where I wasnât comfortable using it to make the bodysuit for fear it would not fit. So I asked her to send a new one. At this point, it was almost mid-April, and I explained calmly that I needed it done soon or I wouldnât be able to keep her deadline and may not be done with it for another few weeks after. I also explained some issues I had with my pattern (which was still fairly new and I was still working on editing with each suit I did) I gave her options to go forward with.
She responded negatively to hearing her deadline may not be met and got her mother involved. They both threatened me with legal action if I did not meet her original deadline. I had all this time been under the impression this customer was 18+ as her quote form had stated. I was understandably upset since I require all 18 and under customers to show my TOS to an adult and have them agree to it before I start an order. I explained the situation to the mother and got them to agree to redo the DTD.
 Then, another customer who I was also having issues with, received her suit and wasnât happy with it,  also due to DTD issues, despite all my efforts to try and negotiate with her. She accused me of being a scammer and blasted me everywhere, including here.  ( a brief summary of her story is included in the email album)
This other customer heard this and out of nowhere demanded a refund for the bodysuit I hadnât started yet, simply based on the rumors. I had honestly had enough by this point and decided to cater to her request just to be done with her. We agreed Iâd finish a partial suit and refund the rest as my invoices stipulated in small payments when I could afford them.
 I hurried to finish her partial as soon as possible since the whole situation made me very uncomfortable and I felt I was dealing with a ticking time bomb. I posted the following WIP photos and finish photos before shipping everything out.
Had 2 other people try on the head, none of them used to wearing fursuits (both were wearing one for the very first time). ALL of them confirmed they could see well, and breathe well, and the fit was comfortable. Â Everyone agreed the head was very cute, etc. and as a maker I thought it was my work done to the best of MY ability and neatest work to date. I did my best on the entire partial to try and prove this customer wrong and turn around a sour situation with exemplary work.
Not long after seeing the WIP photos of the partial the customer TOOK BACK her statement and now wanted to go ahead with the bodysuit order, most likely due to pleasure with the partial pieces. I graciously agreed to do so as I very much needed the money to save up for a move in the fall.
She requested I not post WIP photos to social media this time, and I agreed, explaining that WIP photos would be more infrequent as I found they took far too much time away from working. Â I also stated I had projects due by AC I needed to work on more urgently but that Iâd definitely have the bodysuit out by end of July sometime. She agreed and seemed to understand this.
Weâre now into the first two weeks of June. I have heard nothing from her about the partial, and so I assumed she was satisfied with it and there were no issues. I plan to start her DTD near the end of June when I have room to stuff it, as due to limited space I could only stuff one at a time and I was working on an AC-due suit at the time.
She apparently sees these suit pics on Instagram and starts demanding WIP photos of her suit again. She emails me again asking for them. I send her my revised TOS about my new policy in regards to WIP photos and she had already been told not to expect any until mid-late June.
Iâve had enough by now and pre-emptively block her on all social media so she is forced only to communicate with me via email so I can record her responses in case things get ugly. I CC her mother so she sees what Iâm doing but get no response.
A few days after this I get a DM from a follower on Instagram that she has apparently posted photo and videos of herself and her friend @furzoid (the maker of the foam base I used) tearing and cutting the head Iâd made apart.
At first I thought it was none of my business, it was her head, sheâd bought it, she could do what she wanted with it. She paid me and that was the end of it. I would have liked to have been at least notified or asked first, but things happen and I obviously wasnât dealing with a mature adult. But then when I viewed the videos, I knew this was childish, malicious, cruel behavior done in spite of my hard work to try and hurt me AND tarnish my reputation. I have plenty of proof of this in the IMGUR album provided.Â
She claims it was all not meant in harm but âfunâ And any fursuit maker would tell you this is a lie. For any maker out there to see their work defaced and destroyed and treated the way my work was, ANYONE would be upset, and understandably so. This. Was. personal.
I decided this was the last straw. I notified her I no longer intended to make her anything else and terminated her order for the bodysuit, and sent back the DTD with terms for refund I chose to give out of the goodness of my heart and for my reputationâs sake at this point rather than any understanding for what sheâd done. Because contrary to popular belief I am NOT a scammer.
 She threw a regular oleâ tantrum and is now slandering my name everywhere she can, claiming I scammed HER, and am OVERRREACTING about the situation.
 Well, I wanted to just keep quiet and let this blow over but this is frankly horrifying behavior to me and deserving of a place on this blog. Makers/artists should STEER CLEAR and NEVER work with this person.
You can think what you want about me, but Iâve never EVER done ANYTHING this cruel, malicious or degrading to ANYONE in my life.
