Yup, another fic (I have a bit more time in the summer). Chapter 1 of 2 is up: I Can’t Ever Figure Out the State We’re In.

Summary: “Bell should be so lucky.” Kit and Bell at Conrad and Nic’s wedding, and beyond. There is dancing and a drunk Kit.

The story idea grew out of a suggestion from @monkeybutt05 (thank you!), but I warped it in the writing. Kit’s jabs about Bell’s dancing were inspired by comments Jane made about Bruce — thank you to @kitxvoss and @janeleeves for sharing on X.

On this day in 2020 the legacy book scene aired. And six years later (!) I have written a fic in its honor: I Don’t Want To Walk Away.

I rewatched this great #kitbell scene recently and was reminded of the nano second that hugely amuses me. Watch Bell, stage left. I kinda want to write a fic based on it, but all I have so far is a rhyming couplet: “Apron for class, wipes hands on ass.”

Vital KitBell fic research: I know I can make it up, but I’m checking with y’all re any canon knowledge —

1. Where did Kit Voss do her surgical residency? I’m assuming it had to be in the U.S.

2. Can anyone actually read Bell’s Diploma? FWIW, I’m thinking he was at Emory for premed and then medical school.
