There was something about F.R.I.D.A.Y saying the word, ‘foreplay’ that just...made Darcy turn bright red and start giggling.  

And once she got started, it was difficult to stop.  

That is...until she saw the look on Sam’s face.  

The smile fell right off her lips when she caught his gaze.  His sultry, heated gaze that was holding hers.  

“Ya know...I think that A.I is right...foreplay belongs in the bedroom…” Sam murmured under his breath.  

“Whose bedroom?” Darcy asked, breathless.  

“Whichever is closest…” he replied, leaning forward to close the distance between them.  To remedy the mistake that was him not kissing her right then.

I love this pairing.  Like, this is now a WhoaTP.  Because who knew?  Not I.  Mark this down as a possibilty for continuing.  

Oliver’s fist clenched against his knee as he waited.

Luna breezed by him without so much as a second look, and if he didn’t know better, he thought it might have been a slight.  But in all honesty, she probably wasn’t even looking for him.  

He stood abruptly, ignoring the pins and needles feeling that shot up his legs as he hurried after her.  “Luna...Luna….LOVEGOOD!” he called.  

She stopped, turning to face him, a small smile spreading across her face.  “Oliver, how lovely to see you!”  

Lovely.  It was lovely to see him.  After his botched one nighter with her, where he’d ignored what they done the next day, and as a result she chose to start working out of the country.  She’d been out of the country for the past year because of him and it was lovely to see him.  

He gulped, running his hand through his hair.  “Lovely to see you too, Luna…” 

“I was just heading out for lunch...care to join me?” she asked brightly.  

“I…” he faltered and he couldn’t miss the cloud that passed over her.  

“It’s fine if you can’t, but…” she swallowed.  “I really am rather busy.”  

“I’d love to have lunch with you,” he managed to blurt out without choking.  

“Oh!”  The smile was back.  “Well...come along, then.”

Newtina - ‘Need You Now’

She hadn’t heard from Newt in months.  No letters, no nothing.  Tina was well aware that he led a very busy life, but she couldn’t help but draw conclusions from such a long silence.  

He’d either found someone else, or lost interest.  

And while it took her longer than what was probably necessary to accept the facts, once she did, she was angry.  Logically.  

She took a sip of the Giggle Water, hiccuping a dry laugh as she reached for her ink and pen.  The pen scratched deliciously against the parchment as she scribbled out her thoughts in a letter to Newt.  A letter penned while slightly drunk and mostly tired.  

The ink was smudged when she folded it up and sealed it, leaving it on her nightstand before falling asleep.  

And she could have tossed it, or at least reread it before sending it off.  But she didn’t.  Newt deserved her anger and sadness and Mercy Lewis, he was going to get it.

Pansy’s fingernails scraped up and down her back in her attempt at soothing.  Up and down.  Up and down.  

“I’m trying to…” Darcy sniffed.  “Trying to find the moment...the sign that he’d gotten bored with me…”  

“He was always bored with you, love…”  Pansy said with a sigh.  “Blaise isn’t ever interested unless he’s still chasing you.”  

“Bastard…” Darcy muttered under her breath, raking her fist across her eyelid to stop the traitorous tears from falling.  

“That he is,” Pansy agreed.  “That he is.”

Sam’s gentle touch never ceased to bring Pietro out of whatever funk he’d worked himself into.  It was never intrusive.  Never forced upon him.  Just a gentle reminder that Sam was there.  

Pietro sniffed and reached over to cover Sam’s hand with his own.  “Sorry. I was just…”

“Disassociating...it’s okay.  Rough day?”  

“Tell me about yours instead…” Pietro lay back on the sofa and propped his hands behind his head.  “Whose ass did you kick?”

Darcy’s face reddened, heated up to embarrassing levels when she caught Lance’s gaze from across the room.  She very nearly backed up and left, but Natasha’s arm hooked through hers and pulled her onward.  “Go talk to him,” was the redheaded assassin’s primo advice.  

Her only consolation was that he seemed to be as uncomfortable as she was.  They stood there in relative palpable silence before Darcy gave in and spoke first.  

“Hi,” she said weakly.  

His mouth twitched up into a half smile.  A half smile with sad eyes.  “Hi,” he returned.

The wind was blowing, his Niffler was clinging to his lapels for once.  Pickett whimpered in his pocket.  Newt’s eyes widened as the very air in front of him warped and parted.  A woman stumbled out of the portal, rising to her feet and immediately raising her hands in front of her. They glowed red, as did her eyes.

His arm burned as the dormant mark across his wrist began to tingle to life.  He looked down at it, an angry red as opposed to the dull silvery gray it had been for his entire life.    

“Who are you?” she asked, glancing down at his wrist like she very much knew who he was.  

“I might ask you the same…” he countered, reaching up to pluck his Niffler from the front of his shirt, jamming him quickly into his case.  

“I asked you first.”  

“I’m Newt Scamander.”  

Her eyes widened.  “You’re Newt Scamander?  What year is it?”  Her accent placed her in the Baltic region of Europe.  And she apparently knew who he was.  

He reached up to calm Pickett.  “1928, the last time I looked at a calendar.”  

She gulped, lowering her hands.  “I’m Wanda Maximoff. I’m your soulmate.”  

“The latter, I’d gathered,” he said, chuckling nervously.  “The former is useful, however.”
