Blaine knew after a week of dating Kurt he was in love. It was crazy, border line insane probably. That Blaine Anderson found love within 48 hours. He couldn’t believe it himself either, just thinking about Kurt’s name itself made his heart swing. He told Cooper the night of his and Kurt’s third date.
“You’re what?” Cooper said raising an eyebrow at his baby brother.
“What is it too soon?” Blaine asked looking to him as he looked in the fridge.
“Blaine this is your third date with the guy, and you’re saying that you’re in love?” Cooper chuckled as he ate then cereal he poured himself previously.
“Yeah a little.... look Coop this guy... God this guy!” Blaine laughed softly as he got a beer out sipping it.
“What’s so special about him?” Cooper said as he took some of Blaine’s beer, as Blaine leaned against the marble counter taking some of Cooper’s cereal for himself.
“Everything.” Blaine breathed out looking down at the sparkle and swirl of the white counter. “For one his eyes, it’s probably the first thing that just... make me feel it for him you know? There blue- but also not... they change color I swear. Their like bright as an ocean in the Bahamas, then next thing I know they’re green, like some fancy ass jungle or something. Today they were grey, like a storm cloud or something. But just all so, so beautiful.” Blaine sighed taking a swig of his beer again. “His eyes totally reflect his mood too. When he’s pissed off they turn a dark blue or grey, happy is that real light blue green different than normal too...”
“Jesus Christ, you’re going on and on just about his fucking eyes Blaine.” Cooper said with a mouthful of Cheerios.
“His eyes isn’t the only thing about him okay?” Blaine scoffed looking at him. “His hair is always perfect too. Like model perfect- like that hot Calvin Klein model who can’t take a bad photo.”
“Aye Ricardo...” Cooper smirked letting the name roll of his tongue.
Blaine laughed and shook his head. “I hate You’re obsession with models.”
“Hey now remember the gap guy.” Cooper countered.
“Okay-okay! Now, back to your lover boy now.” Cooper said putting his bowl in the sink.
“Kurt. His name is Kurt...” Blaine said picking at the beer label on the bottle. “Everything about him Cooper... it just... I’ve never felt like this before... honestly I’m terrified.” He laughed breathlessly before smiling widely. “But it’s also a thrill... he, I don’t know what he does. But he makes me feel alive again...”
“Don’t go crazy okay? Remember Eli? We don’t need a relapse.” Cooper said strictly.
Blaine nodded rubbing the back of his neck. “Shut I forgot about that...” he mumbled looking down. “Kurt’s perfect... he doesn’t need a wacko like me messing up his life.”
“Stop.” Cooper said strictly. “If Kurt is the one that won’t matter... you’re not crazy okay? Not your fault you got stuck with moms awful genetics.”
“What if I break down again... I gotta be there for him. I-“
“You can be, okay? You can play man of the house and act all tough. But that doesn’t mean he can’t take care of you too okay?” Cooper said getting a hold of Blaine’s shoulders.
“So when’s the time to bring up bipolar depression when I say I love you or marry me?” Blaine said raising an eyebrow.
Cooper laughed gently wracking the side of his head. “Go to bed.”
“Yeah I will. See you.” Blaine said as he finished off his beer.
“Night squirt.” Cooper smiled going upstairs.
Blaine put the bottle away as he walked to his childhood room laying down in his bed as he felt his phone buzz. He pulled it out of his pocket smiling as he saw the caller id.
“No!” Kurt’s voice chirped as they both laughed in a whisper.
“I figured... why are you calling blue eyes?” Blaine asked softly smiling softly as he heard the deep sigh on the other line.
“I don’t know... I had a really fun time tonight.” Kurt said.
“Yeah you already said that.” Blaine laughed as he bit his lip.
“Yeah I know... I just. I really don’t know. I like smiling. You give me a reason to smile.” Kurt said, Blaine could practically hear his lip biting back a smile.
“Wow not only a designer and actor but a poet too.” Blaine smiled, “I must say Mr.Hummel, I’m impressed.”
“I gotta go the extra stretch for a California boy don’t I?” Kurt laughed.
Blaine smiled wider, Kurt’s laugh sounded like music, he just wish he could see and hear it in person rather than on a phone.
“Shouldn’t that be me, mr New York.” Blaine smiled as he played with his shirt buttons.
“Mhm touché.” Kurt smiled.
“Can I say something that may scare you?” Blaine said sitting up on his bed.
“I think I love you... I know it’s barley been a week, hell it was our third date but... I haven’t felt like this in a long time. Thank you.” Blaine said softly.
“You’re welcome.” Kurt replied softly, “for the record I feel the same. Throw what you will at me, but I promise. I won’t be shaken off that easily.”
“Tomorrow lunch. I will see you then.” Blaine smiled widely.
“Till then.” Kurt sighed. “Goodbye.”
“Goodbye blue eyes.” Blaine said as he heard the hitch in Kurt’s breathe and the sound of their conversation ending. Blaine pressed his phone to his lips, as they curled in a smile.
