Blaine Anderson
so i don't know how to post on your tumblr because I'm fairly new here and still have yet to figure this all out but the thing I do know is that in the two weeks I have been on tumblr you have become my most visited and favorite page. You are uber fabulous and I thought Id thank you for getting through my day with a little more darren. It's nice to have other people to obsess with even if we've never actually met and you have no clue who I am.... Long story short... I LOVE YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH YOURE WONDERFUL!!!!! :)
You are adorable and I <3 you. That's very sweet of you to say.
I'm always slightly flabbergasted when people say things like this, since my main goal in starting this account was just so I could have a way to keep track of all of the pretty Klaine and Darren things I see.
Original Song
Okay. Spoilers if you aren't up to date with Glee, up to American dates.
So, in case you live in space or simply don't watch Glee, it was on last night in America. And I'm kinda infamous for being impatient. Like everyone else, I've been severely disappointed with Glee in the last season of its existance. It's been inconsistant at best and at times *coughGrilledCheesuscough*, it was just plain offensive.
So, one minute I'm critising it yet I didn't really get any presents this Christmas as I spent £70 on a ticket to see Glee in June. So, I think it's kinda saying a lot, don't you? Overall, I've loved the first season, with a number of episodes standing out as some of the best. However, the first half of season two was viciously disappointing with only favourite moments, as opposed to favourite episodes. I was hoping it would turn itself around without much optimism as last season was not as good in its second half. One thing that wasn't a good start was the rather offensive point they made about bisexuality during 'Blame It On The Alcohol'. I honestly appreciated the move back to episodes with a theme with music that fitted while having plot progression.
I do freely admit, without the bisexuality storyline which made me want to stab Kurt and, by extension, Ryan Murphy, Alcohol was a really funny ep. And the Superbowl and Valentine's Day ep were brilliant, especially the former. It was what I loved about it. And then, Comeback was okay, not as bad as I expect, a 'meh' episode. The episode following Alcohol was exactly the Glee I've always loved, Sexy. Even TWOP loved it and hated themselves for it. Gwyneth Paltrow was shockingly awesome, the episode made me laugh a lot and their treatment of Santana coming to grips with her bisexuality was utterly beautiful and sensitive. Why they couldn't deal with it better before and avoid the offence by their main audience is past me.
So, understandably, I was looking forward to Original Song. And fucking hell, I wasn't disappointed. Firstly, the original songs initially were effing hilarious. Rachel's Hairband and woe of being an Only Child as well as Mercedes' sassy song. Hell To The No which of course wasn't good enough as well as Puck's amusing ode to Lauren and Santana's win of a song about Sam's trouty lips.
And then Loser Like Me's inspiration, flashbacks to her literally throwing sticks at Mercedes made me laugh. And her sleeping with the drummer of MCR/Jimmy Eat World makes her all powerful.
Get it Right made me yawn though.
And, of course, the most important part: Klaine finally cutting to the fucking chase.
I always find Kurt's hand near the glue adorable and their second kiss, although shorter, very cute. And also - I'm sorry but it's true - hot. Even Colfer couldn't get over hot it was.
My dad retched and made rather immature comments.
He was sent out of the room.
As a whole, the Dalton/Klaine storyline was quite good. The performances were 'meh' but I fully support the cause to open every episode with a musical number. And Kurt's bitchfaces were totally worth the not so good quality.
(Aka my enthusiasm for everything)
He did have an excellent point: It's very rich for someone who gets every single solo to have a go at Kurt for not wanting to blend into the background.
And, essentially, Blaine uses his position of authority within the Warblers to get into Kurt's pants. Given his intimacy issues though, it's going to take more than a duet.
Yay cynicism.
But I do love how the Warblers have become funny with how uptight they are and how much power they try to hand to Blaine.
But, tbh, they've now set up how Kurt and probably Blaine will go to McKinnley though, considering they said a duet wouldn't win them regionals.
But more on that later.
The performances overall were okay, but I was extremely disappointed in the Dalton numbers, both not seeming their style at all. Nonetheless, the dialogue before, where Kurt asks if anyone has ever died out there and the hugging afterwards as well as pulling Kurt into the spotlight were adorable.
My only concern is, if Klaine continue to be as sickly as they are now, I may hate them speaking within an episode and a half.
However, looking to the future and looking at the stuff known, I'm effing excited. Dare I expect good things from Glee, FINALLY? Sigh, only another month until the next episode. FML.
