Klamathon Fire - Promoting Relief

A few days ago, a fire broke out near Hornbrook, California and as of now, nearly 90,000 acres of land and homes have been destroyed as the fire expands north into Oregon. While 57% (as of this posting) of the Klamathon Fire has been contained, many of the evacuees have been displaced and many of them are in Yreka shelters set up by the Red Cross. Any donations and assistance will be appreciated.

Klamathon Fire

Northern Siskiyou County is burning tonight. Two towns consumed by fire, Hilt and Hornbrook. Fire over 5000+ acres, 0% contained and I-5 closed at the Ashland exit. My heart bleeds for those people.

I remember when the Boles Fire tore through the town I live back in September 2014. Only a miracle saved the apartment I live in. The terror, helplessness and unknown I recall all too well.

It also seems I have not dealt with the trauma of it either by my reaction to the photos. I hope the wind ceases and the firefighters get this under control.
