As much as it disgusts me how many Americans would sell out their fellows for lower grocery prices, I cannot take the liberal outage against these pathetic unfounates at all seriously, because liberals have proven themselves equally willing to sell out the most vulnerable among us for their own safety and comfort.
They sold out Palestinian and Lebanese Americans, cruelly scolding them that they should ignore the murder of their families in the name of saving democracy. They sold out immigrants, in particular the undocumented, I suppose on the logic that they don't vote anyway. And now after these horrible sacrifices failed to convince a sullen, reactionary electorate to give them power, the Democrats are openly speculating that they need to sell out trans people if the party ever wants to hold power again. Astute observers may note that trans people were used as a cudgel against those with principled objections to liberal vote scolding, but I suppose that now that their usefulness as a weapon against other vulnerable populations has past then they are disposable.
Democrats have betrayed the Palestinian people, they have betrayed immigrants and refugees, and they are preparing to betray trans people and scapegoat them for the party's own incompetence. They have sold out their fellows in precisely the same way as the Trump voters who may personally disagree with the MAGA movement's more hateful beliefs but see this as an acceptable trade off for their own security and comfort. Morally, they are twins separated at birth.
To the liberal vote scolds and 'lesser of two evilists' and everyone who has justified the Democratic Party's habitual pattern of cowardice and betrayal, I must ask: when the Democratic Party makes you its next human sacrifice what will you do?

An angel in space? No, they are interactive galaxies
ESO 593-8 is an impressive pair of interacting galaxies with a feather-shaped member crossing a nearby companion. The two components will probably merge to form a single galaxy in the future. The pair is adorned with a number of bright blue star clusters. ESO 593-8 is located in the constellation Sagittarius, the Archer, some 650 million light-years away from Earth.

According to Salt Lake City’s Fox 13, arresting documents describe a child climbing out of a window and running to a neighbor’s home to ask for food and water. The neighbor noticed that the child had duct tape on their wrists and ankles and called the police. Another child was found at the home the first one escaped from, which belongs to Franke’s business partner and therapist Jodi Hildebrandt.
Viewers of “8 Passengers” and investigative vloggers have flagged Franke’s concerning behavior around feeding and withholding food from her children for a long time. In one video, Franke brags about not feeding her kids breakfast until they do their chores, despite them being “literally starving.” In another, Franke explains the reasoning behind not bringing her hungry 6-year-old lunch at school, because it’s actually the kid’s responsibility to pack her own lunch. It’s all deranged.
Why do people that hate kids ever have kids? And why do they have such strong urges to share their evil with others? I guess it’s…ATTENTION and MONEY.
One can’t help but notice the unfortunate pattern of Youtubers or parenting influencers on any platform who’ve compromised their children’s wellbeing. Remember Myka Stauffer, who “rehomed” her adopted child with special needs in 2020? Or the “FamilyofFive” parents, who were convicted of child abuse in 2017 for the elaborate and cruel “pranks” they pulled on their children? The parenting choices these people made are upsetting enough, but their incessant need to capitalize off of them for content at their children’s expense is horrific.
We need rules, oversight, laws, and systems in place to prevent abusive parents from exploiting their children this way.
As bad as it was for me because of my abusive and exploitative parents, I at least had some protections from my union (SAG) and the state labor laws.
These children who are exploited by their parents to create online content have literally nobody looking out for them. We have to change that.

i get that they’re not killing them and they end up fine, but imagine the trauma of you, a mammal, going through a long ass tube, not knowing what’s going to happen to you, and you can’t breathe. 🤷♀️
They get misted with water throughout the thing, and it results in fewer injuries than the ‘ladder’ method. Also, it’s a fish. It never knows what’s going to happen to it at any point in time throughout its life.
Also, I, a mammal, have paid 80 bucks to get into a water park to get the opportunity to feel like that fish, and that motherfucker gets in for free every day is fish day at the fish waterpark
well the MOST humane thing would be to not build dams blocking salmon migration routes, nor create a society where there are only resources allocated to solving the problem at all because blocking the salmon endangers the profits of a segment of the food industry.
Buuuut since we’re past that already, here are a couple of additional thoughts:

this IS the more humane alternative, which was invented to lower injury and death rates associated with previous techniques. When a better alternative is revealed it will probably replace this one. But this one is a pretty huge improvement over the other methods, one of which killed off something like 80% of the fish involved.
A study of the above fish tube was conducted by Pacific Northwest National Laboratories in 2017 on the Columbia River and showed a much higher success rate. In that study, only one fish died (“due to a human error during the system setup”) and only 3 percent had signs of injury. So. The next best improvement might have to be “remove dam”
