This season was great! So let's talk shipping…. (not hiccstrid) Sadly, it seems Rufflout won’t make it as canon, Ruffnut and Fishlegs had more development this season than Ruffnut and Snotlout did, which makes me think that Dreamworks is hinting at Rufflegs being canon instead of Rufflout. But what I don’t get is why they would have Fishlegs and Heather as a couple if Rufflegs was gonna be endgame. There was the whole holy-thor-we-accidently-got-married but until now that was a one time thing. In Season 4, when Ruffnut was captured and drowned, Fishlegs was really worried for her(“There! That’s Ruffnut! They’re gonna drown her!”). And in Season 5 Fishlegs almost accidently called Ruffnut his angel so…. (“Some sap, for my sap” … “An angel fern for my…...”). They could make Rufflegs canon to show that sometimes first loves don’t always work out(With Fishlegs and Heather, Ruffnut and Eret). That being said I still ship Rufflout like crazy. But I wouldn’t mind if Rufflegs became canon…. . . . Ok maybe.
(Seriously, the way I feel about Rufflegs is the same as I feel about Kallura.) Don’t you just hate it when your NOTP has a better chance of becoming canon than your OTP?
