like, i can say that ethan is better after re7, cause capcom embraced that he is “player character” and that he is a faceless protagonist and even his connection feels genuine, it’s not like it’s written badly (thought mia is written out of the plot for ages) but i simply, do not get, how some (not all) people went crazy (or simp him but i hate that word) for him as if he has character now?? or saying all RE character have been like that until they got personality and no? Like, literally any Re protagonist even if they had no character, they all sounded iconic, they looked iconic and very distguinsh/memorable design despite how fucking corny script is in re1
ethan is like the most generic, white male you can get in a horror story like at least in situatuion, idk, joel/booker, they have a voice behind him that caries them or lee from twdg being a genually good character but i’m so tired of father/daughter, i just want a different dynamic, hell like i said, even lady d and her daughter interactions are so intresting for villians and how many great lines there if you actually wait for them to trigger in game
