What are you things?
Uzi couldn't help it when she said it. It just slipped out from her in the throngs of fear and confusion. She'd almost died. She thought she saw her dad die. That... thing had known her mom, somehow. It wasn't J, it was something that had been lurking inside her, and presumably it was inside N, too. He was nice, for a killer robot, but could she trust him?
Only a few days ago, everything made sense. Even if it frickin' sucked, it was a suck Uzi could wrap her head around. Now, she had no idea what was happening and what might happen even a week from now. It's a scary thought.
So she stays in bed. She's wasted her whole weekend in her room, flittering between her emotions. She's glad her dad isn't dead, even if he sucks. She keeps thinking about the hurt look on N's face before he left. She keeps thinking about her mom, which is new. And what is the Absolute Solver?
She sighs and reaches for a remote stuffed somewhere beneath her pillow. She finds it eventually, and mashes the play button a few times before the speaker set up next to her desk finally starts playing. It's a fuzzy rip of My Chemical Robots' latest album, pirated just the way they would've wanted, probably. And it's loud and angsty, perfect for not thinking about emotionally difficult topics.
"What's... what's going on?" she mumbles to the ceiling. "This sucks."
She turns over and sees someone else in her room, someone she doesn't recognize. But before she even has a chance to panic, the memory accepts Eiden. She just rolls her eyes at his presense.
"Don't suppose you're here to offer advice? Maybe tell me to just get over it? Hah. Whatever. You're better off going outside and just freezing to death; save yourself the trouble."
