Uzi doesn't really get the whole Darkner thing, but from what she does understand, there's something that makes inanimate objects come to life. People on the other side of the veil might never know that the appliances in their home or the decorations in their rooms are people with their own thoughts and feelings.
Are worker drones much different? The old generation workers were just subservient AIs, machines built to do dangerous tasks 'cuz fuck 'em. Uzi's seen into N's memories of times before everything went FUBAR, and even before Copper 9's drone population went rogue, humans didn't really give a shit about how alive they might be. Speak out of turn or do something the humans don't like, and get scrapped.
When Uzi thought the humans were behind the disassembly drones, she was ready to kill them all. If Tenna's owner (ugh) mistreated him, what would he do? He's a TV, right? An old TV. And when you don't need your fatback anymore, you just-
"'Sometimes'. Right. You would've hated it on Copper 9," she sighs. Though she could give him a cool drone-sona.
If she tells him to take care of himself, will he? If she asks what he'd do if he couldn't run the studio, would he have an answer? If she asked him if he were really okay, would he even know?
All she can do is shrug. "Alright, we'll save the factory reset for when you really crash out," she says, waving her hand toward Tenna's. A purple light snatches the tool from him and drops it into her toolbox, and she doesn't say anything more on that.
Yeah, she's not good at stuff like this, because adults lie. Uzi's, y'know, charmingly tsundere. But adults like to hide things and pretend it was good that they did it. All the stuff Tenna's saying just sounds too clean. Or is that her own trauma talking?
"If you're really happy, then... good, I guess. You've got a studio, adoring fans, no reason why you wouldn't be. Just, when you got mechanical issues, let me know okay? Not a huge fan of people keeping secrets."
There is one other thing on her mind, though. Just a point of clarification as she grabs her toolbox. "Uh, you mentioned Spamton, right? Were you guys like... a thing?"
