Ship Headcanons: Trick Kennedy and Ray Young ( @klldare )
This started fully from a fight that turned to a hate fuck. Like Trick ran his mouth off too much and it became a "you can mouth off but you'll be begging for me by the time we're done." Situation. Trick lost. And continues to lose that battle every time.
Trick learned early that his usual 'raptor testing the fence' to see what was allowed and what wasn't didnt work as well, and learned the short leash he had pretty quickly, then adjusted accordingly. He's still very much the raccoon, you can't take that out of him, but, he challenges Ray much less than at the start.
Im not sure either one knows when it went from "he's a guy that I fuck sometimes" to "that ones mine, hands and eyes off." But the switch happened. And they are serious about it.
Speaking of that, Trick's jealous streak does in fact exist, and he's not above acting a little out of line to prove that. And has fully accepted the consequences of doing so.
He does try not to flip that switch on Ray though, he does enjoy seeing that man get rough but, he'd rather not make it worse.
Even in all the roughness, there's still softness. Trick is very attached to this man, and he likes to think the same goes for Ray.
Even into the In between stage where there was something more going on but no one really knew? There's the slight game of how close can they get / how much tension between them can people see and not question, and its a stare from both of them that quickly shuts that convo down.
While he doesn't quite do the Beckett Knight Method of sitting at Ray's feet in that owned / guard dog position, he his his own way of doing that.
I feel like theyre very touch possessive in a way? And I also feel like any marks that have been placed are certainly shown.
The Raccoon isnt leaving this man alone anytime soon, sorry Ray. No taksey backsies.
