So Yesterday I went to Klubovna (Prague) to check out “FreeStyle Mondays”. They do a monthly open mic, and this party was their 6th anniversary jam. I’m always in search of that real Hip Hop across the Globe, and I certainly found it here. The vibe was chill from the start with the DJ’s playing Hip Hop classics from “OGC to Ludacris”. As we moved into the main course, The FM band started laying down smooth sounds. I had never been to an open mic running a format like this before. There were three host Mc’s who were controlling the rotation, but the Mc’s had to work within the song perimeter that was being played. There was a songtress performing with the band and the Mc’s had to allow her to get some “Bars” in too. It was like a “Build-A-Song” concert. I couldn’t understand most of the lyrics because my Czech is horrilbe, but the harmony of rhymes was above par.
