There’s a tv station that just started playing EMERGENCY! episodes from the very beginning (Pilot is actually airing currently) and there’s so much goddamn NOSTALGIA & SEROTONIN that I’m feeling right now from my childhood!! 😩❤️ (I grew up with old tv shows from my mom’s childhood)

50 years ago a tv project called “‘Emergency!” Premiered on NBC. Many #EMS lives were sculpted because of this show. It was about two LACOFD Firefighters who undertake the first paramedic training for their region and the application following it. While tv, and very elementary in nature by today’s standards, it became a prominent prime time hit. As a child, I used to have the dolls, the car, the SCBA pack and fire helmet toys from the show and play. EMS was in my family as was fire. I grew up early on / around it.
